And still people play the FOBTs and complain when they lose!
A few questions:-
1. Who makes the choice to put money in the machine?
2. Given that you find the machine so attractive to play (and you must or you wouldn't play them) why do you think the urges will just magically disappear and stay away for good?
3. What barriers have you put in place so that gambling is almost impossible when the urges surface?
4. How many people have you read about on here who have been successful through playing the FOBT's?
5. How many people have you read about on here who have been unsuccessful through playing the FOBT's?
6. Given that all you have done is lose why do you suddenly think you will win?
7. How often do you post on here after a win? Why?
8. How often do you post on here when you lose - why?
9. What do some children do when they lose?
10. Who's choice is it to put money in the machine?

This things blatantly cheat you I'm sure of it. I've played them for so long you can see it, especially on Blackjack. Hit 20...dealer gets 21 or Blackjack.
They claim to be 'random' but most of the time they feel like a fruit machine. I've never had such loses in a Casino.
God knows why I continue to play them...I must be the biggest fool going.
Hi Burn and thanks for posting.
They feel like fruit machines because they are just that. The roulette wheel or cards are just video clips playing over and over to give the illusion of realism.
To make it even easier you bet first and they bet once they know your move - so have to win.
Are you foolish? Yes and no maybe. Yes for playing them thinking you will win but no for being smart enough to admit you are being foolish.
You see if you quit, you win because they get no more of your money or time.
I wish you well with whatever you decide.
Dave
Hopefully you will find some useful info on this thread which will help you to stop playing these awful machines.
I will not be adding anything further or responding to any further posts.
