Hello,

Welcome back. I know how you feel, (as never 100 days GF) but was makin head way then a big relapse about 10 days ago...lost most of my salary and made things hard for myself 🙁

Then last night I went out and bought a load of scratch cards (not my thing at all) I am an online slot person sadly!

Whats your vice?

Hey Hypestar

Here's an idea, and if you're serious - and history suggests you are - then you'll consider, and maybe act, on this.

If you phone this number 0800 294 2060 (9-5pm, tomorrow) you can self-exclude from all bookies (and arcades) within 2 miles of you, and any others you nominate. Send in a pic of yourself and photo id ( driving licence or passport) and done. Phone call takes 20 minutes, sneding back the photos (from your phone or whatever) 10 minutes.

Moment of truth Hypestar. I suggest you're up for it.

For my gambling addiction i don't say i've beaten it. Same as people who suffer from other illnesses like cancer for instance say they are in "remission". Its a reminder that I need to keep on my guard and keep up with my recovery tools. the addiction loves coming back and sharing its pain with you. hope you manage to stay away.

i agree with Tri, i would never say i've beaten it, i'm over 170 days now i think, and have done that in the past too. I was almost 8 months previously and slipped back to my ways for a few months. One of the worst things i could have done, even worse than when i was gambling previously, because i had promised to stop to my loved ones, and i let them and myself down.

I hope you manage to stay away from Gambling, but remember it is one day at a time, never take your eye off the ball!!

Day 3 business as usual I even resisted the bookies in town the other day with cash and cards on me I think I'm slowly getting that mind set back in its normally payday when I go back and go mad with it so working today's that still around two weeks yet so I will be very prepared

Also ban yourself from online betting sites if thats your trigger! May take a while emailing all the bookmakers sites but will be all worth it in the end, just email them saying you want to self exclude for life or some have a maximum of 5 years
