Checking in for the coming week on 40 days gamble free. Christmas will be easier now and we can enjoy the festivities without the extra mouths of slot machines to feed!

One day at a time. I was on youtube and stumbled upon Adam Khoo. I am not interested in 'trading stocks'. LOL I don't have money to buy stocks and even if I did/ trading involves full emersion. BUT , what I want to share here is this: He outlined how the casino has an edge in a brillient fashion. Of coarse I had heard many times that the casino is almost gaurenteed a nickle on each dollar bet. With a simple explanation and example of the roulette wheel (slots are the same) he helped me to disgest what is going on better than ever before. Coupled with the smoke and mirrors, the casinos built in edge is quite the crime. I commited a crime against myself by not paying attention to the bare facts. Scratchers too. If you want to throw away and occasional 'bill of 5 to 30 dollars' for a lhopeless chance to win the big one but it's not a thing to do daily , mindlessly, and with false hope of being very lucky. I'm aware and this helps me now. Yet, it will always be odaat. tara2

Checking in on day 6, still hate myself, got a holiday next week and feel like i’m not Going to enjoy it. At times I feel like going in to bookies not to bet but to smash all the fobt screens in a mass spree across town.. not the usual me but maybe there is a message there.. but I won’t do it due to the fact if I did, the bookies would win again and take me to the cleaners and end up in prison me being worse off than I already am.... over a barrel here let’s hope my holiday cheers me up

Checking in day 43. Cannot believe the owner of a certain betting company has just paid herself £xxx million pounds from one year’s worth of profits , and that is just one company. Also on the news that online gambling by secondary school aged children has quadrupled in recent years. The government really needs to step in and tighten up controls here - children should not be able to gamble online. More school age children now regularly gamble than those who drink or smoke. All these headlines today on the news. Alarm bells ought to be ringing that this problem is escalating at an astounding rate.

That was an excellent post by Boxingdayfresh which sadly highlights the dangers posed to vulnerable children by gambling.

Greeting to all the Guru Challengers past and present. We all stand together, united and on a mission to reclaim our lives. Every now and than we suffer casualties but hopefully the wounded get back up on their feet and continue on their journey.
