No, this isn't a 119 days and then I fell off the wagon.
I've gone this far and still going strong. I've made a few changes in my life and my outlook seems generally more positive. I've started spending more time with people as opposed to spending time on my own around people, if that makes any sort of sense.
It used to be the case that I would be glued to my phone on betting sites, but that seems like a lifetime ago. It really doesn't take long for finances to recover either. Yes, there are debts but at the end of the day as long as payments are being made then that's the main thing. The crucial thing is that month to month I have enough money to do things and buy little treats as well, because I'm no longer burning through hundreds of pounds online.
I have an interesting time at work the other day. I was running a meeting and the topic turned to gambling with a new member of the team. He described himself as a "professional" gambler and talked about his systems and what not. All I could think was, "give it a few months."
17 weeks down. Next mental target is 20 weeks.
Hi scothed,
Just came across this post of yours from July, which sounded really positive and up beat. How are you doing?
Kind wishes
Gabriele
