18TH JAN 2013 - Time to let go.

WEEK 11. DAY 76. "It's another day, it's another "NO" (to GAMBLING)

Did not start the day off well at all - A huge piece of Iced Lemon Maderia cake, followed by a large portion of my Thornton's Special Toffee Easter Egg!!! (some may argue that I actually DID start the day off well)!!

On a positive note (remember, I'm a half glass full person)! My boss came to visit me to discuss my return to work (17th April). All good in that area with plenty of support in place, which really helps - my line manager is lovely!!

Aintree week this week. I am actually going to watch some of it (being a runner in my time, I do enjoy seeing anything racing)!! I feel comfortable about doing this and this does not present me with any urges whatsoever, which is great!! my motto - "I WILL ONLY LOSE ANYWAY"

Day 76 and still going from strength to strength amazing!

Having that half glass full approach really helps especially when things are tough. Glad to see your getting lots of support in going back to work something I was considering until my leg decided to give way. I must admit I'm pretty nervous about going back but I will cross that bridge when it comes.

Change sometimes can throw us off course but I sure like you have for the past 76 days you will remain focused on the goal, a happy gamble free life.

WEEK 11. DAY 77. "It's another day, it's another "NO" (to GAMBLING).

After a really late night of not being able to sleep!!, been quite busy today. Power walked to Asda and back - with two heavy bags in one hand and an ironing board in the other!!! (for my son's flat)!! Still, it's all good exercise for the arms, that's what I tell myself.

Just spending some time watching Aintree racing from my hometown - Ladies Day!!! o*g! Saw two young women trying (very unsuccessfully) to walk in a lady like manner across the grass in their skyescraper high heels (I think one of them had a nose bleed, they looked so high)!!! It was not a pretty sight!! Sure it will make the Granada news tonight! Enjoying the racing side of it though with no urges whatsoever again. (Is Feb's self control comming back)? It seems that way - yeah!!

My lovely sister is comming tonight for dinner - cooking a nice chilli, lemon and smoked salmon pasta, washed down by a glass or two of Sauvignon - it's a must!! Got some peanut butter muffins to make yet and then round to sons to see him before he heads off to Amsterdam for the weekend with his friends. He tells me it's for a music event!!

Busy weekend ahead.

Looking after my nieces two cocker spaniel puppies this weekend with my sister - actually petrified of dogs though!! Shattered already. I think the puppies know I am frightened of them and so they keep sitting at my feet and following me around! - bless.

Well, home now. Puppy sitting went much better than I thought - even managed a 'run' with one of them on a lead! - GET IN FEB!!

Shattered now so chillaxing on the setee tonight (with a g.o.w of course)!

A lovely weekend on the whole - my sis treated me out to dinner yesterday and my niece and her husband treated me out to lunch today with my sis - a thank you for puppy sitting!! I could get used to this. I am so grateful I have a lovely family.

Feb - Tired but now a little less frightened of the pups on "The Bright Side of the Road"!! Yeah!

WEEK 12. Day 81. "It's another day, it's another "NO" (to GAMBLING).

Forgot to write in my diary yesterday - was at Court in the afternoon, feeling a little stressed and pre-occupied about the impending trial in a couple of weeks!! Decided to enjoy the remainder of the day however and not let this beat me. Today is a new day so rolling with it!
