Day 42
Well back home last night after a very enjoyable weekend to Amsterdam. What a really interesting country and place, would definitely like to visit again!
In the 5 days since I last posted I can't think of many if any occasions I thought about gambling, saw the odd casino at airports and service stations that were a little triggering but I wasn't interested in going in at all!
Back to work today feeling a bit tired and the obvious blues from being at work and not on holiday having fun...but thats life!

Glad you had a good time away. Hopefully it’s shown you what you can be like without gambling. Sounds like you have this under control and are seeing the benefits now. Great to read. Keep up the great work, and keep the updates coming. I love reading about others doing well. Keeps me going too.

@v7doquhmz5 Yeah, for some I was able to do this, but they must have got wise to do this as others I can't. I normally just mute them so they can't go through then every so often delete them and report them as junk....

Day 43
Still feeling a bit tired from my trip haha, and having to go to the dentist yesterday and tomorrow for work has been fun....
Spent some of yesterday and today getting my finances in order seen as last Friday was the last payday until NYE, making sure everything that came out was correct, paid some borrowing off and after overspending in expensive Amsterdam by a couple hundred. However all is looking good! 🙂

Getting close to the 50 mark! Everything is good this end, not had any urges I can really think of which has been good. Had the odd temptation at the weekend in the pub when seeing fruit machines, especially when drinking is involved, however it is pretty easy to switch focus back on trying to recover and not give in

Day 49
I can't lie, I had some small feelings to gamble today, I think the expensive month of December, coupled together with gambling companies sending me emails/messages and just general boredom put me in a position I had been in before where I had gone some time without doing it and felt comfortable just falling into the same trap again.
Decided as I have in the past to come onto here and read other peoples posts instead as I find it very helpful. I am glad that is what I did

Day 50 - BULLSEYE
Well another milestone reached 50 days, half a century, 50 to go to 100 days. However you want to say it, it is 50 days without gambling on slots and throwing my money away.
On one hand its gone quick when think of it as 50 days, but I guess the individual days have gone slow at times. But it is a daily battle so it must be fought daily.
Nearly over the hump day... feels like this week is going slow, just counting down to work xmas shut down from 20th to 2nd Jan.

A good few days, no real urges which has been great!
Onto last working week of the year then a nice 12 days off. 🙂
And 5 days till 60 days which I think is 2 months?

Day 58
A good few days, with no urges at all that I can think of. Finances looking good, abit of credit card debt to pay off next month after finishing xmas shopping.
Had a bit of trouble with two parcels not turning up, however 1 refunded and the other after initially saying I didn't report it within 7 days saying they basically couldn't do anything, they then gave a gift card which was good, so I wasn't out of pocket having to replace anything.
Just a shame that there is possibly someone out there stealing parcels over the xmas period, anyway...
The rest of today and then tomorrow left at work for the year, Should be a nice just under 2 weeks off. 🙂

On a side note- Not sure if anyone here likes the Darts- I love it!
However the sponsorships and advertisement around it is so gambling heavy, I understand the need for sponsorships in the game, but some of the adverts during broadcast, which is often on later at night was quite triggering.
Especially with the slots adverts showing them winning etc, I have to say I had to look away and distract myself.

Good to hear you are still doing so well. I also love love love the darts (and football) so I can relate. I'm not too bad with the ads now (little bit further in than you), but at around the same stage I found the adverts difficult to hear. Not sure when it happened but now I can watch without thinking ahhh I should have bet on a certain number of 180's or ton plus ads! Hope you enjoy the rest of the darts without the adverts bugging you too much, crazy how many gambling adverts there.
