Hi Suzy,

Nearly four months under your belt and you are doing really well, kicking gambling's b**t back into the hole it crawled out from!

For me I think the penny dropped about gambling ages ago, I still had the self destruct button that sent me back to gambling. Each time the penny dropped harder and heavier, and hopefully the truth about gambling you have written there has finally penetrated my thick skull too!

Love your positivity and enthusiasm for beating this.

Ryan

Hi Suzy

Well done, day 116. I am snapping at your heels and hope I never catch up. We are going to have such a great Christmas, gamble-free and loving life.

Keep going, Suzy.

Day 120 woo- hoo!!!

Dreamt I was gambling last night.
Wonder where that came from?

Very vivid dream and even knew I would go back to Day one.

Our brains are so complex. I don't have any funds to gamble so it is even more complex.

Take care all over the weekend & keep posting. Frequent postings are all part of the Recovery.

Day 121

Gambling is a progressive addiction.

It escalates over time.

I have to stop sometime.

I have stopped now.

I will remain gamble free THIS time.

Enjoy your Saturday,

Suzy

Hi Suzy,

Thanks for your words of encouragement on my diary.

Whenever I feel my resolve weakening I will re-read your first post because it's so powerful and is proof that life can get better by abstaining from gambling.

Enjoy your weekend.

Morning Suzy,

Thanks for your post.

It looks like we can be in any frame of mind when that addiction try's to control us totally out of the blue.

I had a few drinks and was asleep by 8pm last night, out of harms way lol.

Good going no gambling hangover and 122 days clocked up.

Stay strong and safe.

Suzanne xx

Day 123

Four months without wasting a single penny gambling.

Life is so much easier without it.

I ain't going back into that tunnel of despair.

The defences are all on high alert.

Keep going everyone, there is strength in numbers.

Day 124

Budget Day here in Ireland.

Not too bad this year.

The last seven have been horrendous.

Glad I don't smoke or gamble!!

Take care ,
