So many milestones have passed where I would say I wont gamble again. And within days/weeks I do. So I'm going to keep track on the next 345 days on here. I plan to stop today. I have wasted yet more cash today after a big loss on Thursday, I can't carry this on.
I was in £18k in debt at the start of 2014, now it's down to around £9k. I really should have paid it all off by now, but due to continous gambling it hasn't been possible. I really need to stop.
I'm miserable and constantly skint. I can't plan for the future. I've let so many people down, lost my girlfriend, worried my parents, borrowed off friends and taken ages to pay back, missed out on qualifications, missed out on holidays. I can't gamble anymore, not just for the money, but I want to be happy again.
So here goes...
Day 1 out of the way. Although I had planned to go to a GA meeting but instead decided to go home as I told myself I would go for a run. I did neither. Still,1 day complete.
Day 2 went by ok, although it would do as I have next to no money.
Day 3 was today. Had a quid on me and wanted a double cheeseburger, I only had the money for a single cheeseburger. I was tempted to stick my only pound in a machine to make 50p, but I thought what's the point. Then my craving for anything to eat went, so I think in my mind I just wanted a reason to go in the bookies. I still have the pound!
Day 4 and Day 5 came and went. I've got no money until Monday so I was expecting no problems for the first 7days. Next week will be the challenge. Payday on Monday.
