Now at 22 days gamble free - no real urges to bet and still feeling pretty positive. Hope I can keep this going - next small milestone will be the 1 month mark - small steps.

Have a good week all

Cheers

Andrew

Haven't posted for over a week - just been very busy with work (that is helping me). I've now gone a month without a bet and feeling good about myself but in no way complacent as I regularly worry that I may weaken and start gambling again.

Went shopping with my wife today and bought her a new coat - she was so happy - but the look on joy on her face made me feel so guilty about my recent past - I could have bought her so much more over the years instead of stuffing my cash in the FBOTs.

Determined to stay strong - have a good week all.

Cheers

Andrew

36 days gamble free now - being really busy with work is a big help - hopefully I'll still have the willpower if and when things slow down and I've got some time to kill. ODAAT

Congratulations on the start of week 6 🙂

You can't change the past but you can build a better future so keep making the right choices & soon it'll be a whole wardrobe 🙂

Make sure you have a back up plan for when you aren't so busy...I find I can lose whole hours on here! & I don't think I speak for myself when I say people love reading new posts on their diaries 🙂

Keep strong - ODAAT

I have been gamble free all year but today was feeling a bit down and very nearly crossed the line - I actually sat down in the bookies and filled out a bet for the football tonight but at the last minute I put the slip down and walked out the shop - a big wake up call for me - just shows how easy it can be to slip back into bad habits even if you've been clean for almost 3 months - feeling mixed emotions - annoyed that I went in the shop but relieved that i didn't part with any money.
