Day 12 I suppose the biggest success of the last 12 days is that I have not interacted once with HorseRacing which was my downfall. I am genuinely happier than I was 12 days ago. Less moody since Sat that may return and not quite as depressed. Recovery takes alot out of you. I am off to my sons Xmas play tomorrow and I know I will enjoy it as I can give it my whole concentration.

Hi Michael enjoy your son' s play, direct your energies into his life. Really get involved as he grows up, junior sports club, after school clubs etc, rope yourself in big time, you won't have time to think about gambling. Glad your feeling a tad brighter - Paul

Hi

I am not trying to be anywhere in particular. I am just happy with not gambling and there are benefits of this. I don't have stress thus I am not causing problems in the house. I am currently sitting at breakfast table with two kids, the wife is asleep upstairs. I would not be able to do this if I was gambling. I am taking this day by day. I try not to feel down about what I have done "thats hard" nor to get ahead of myself. I am happy enough where I am.

Day 28, Well I suppose it has been the best run I have had in a long time. I have had longer periods of being gamble free but always with a passing interest in gambling. This recovery I have been very diligent in avoiding triggers and gambling related material, I am fearful of relapse. But glad I am doing okay. I have had urges but not too bad. I try to take it one day at a time and if I stay in this frame of mind I see no problems with my recovery. Be good everyone.

Well done Michael. You're on a good run so keep it up. Get through January then get through short month February then on to Easter... summer... and then Christmas 2016. Simple. Haha. Keep the faith.

Yep January is a bad month, but you are now on 34 days of winning, and we are nearly half way through this month, Feb is a short month and then Spring around the corner:))) your mood will lift soon, just push through it.

You,are doing great, keep strong.
