Do you not read any of our posts?

Do you not understand what self-exclude means?

I am just frustrated that you don't even seem to mention anything about what we say to try and help you.

Do let us know if you need more information or even what self exclude is.

That really would help, mate.

Hi, Can i ask you just one thing ? Do you really want to quit ? ?, or do you want to wait until your whole life is destroyed by debt and then have to quit as you shall be down and out for the count ?.

I mean it seems like you are making no effort whatsoever !!.

You have been given advice time after time.Told to self exclude i dont know how many times and yet you keep coming back saying you are still gambling ?.

To be honest i think you are hear for support only when you lose money.I dont think, by your repetetive gambling actions and ignoring the advice and help you are being given that you want to quit as all you are doing is taking up peoples valuable time while they are trying to help you. Then you ignore the advice and basically throw it in our faces.

May sound i bit harsh my friend but its about time someone told you.Maybe that will give you the wake up call you need before you go under and its too late.

its your call my friend, and your alone !! We cant do it for you, only advise and help but if you dont want it let us know.If you do then self exclude yourself from all gambling sites and bookies and you shall find more than enough help from me and others.

Please, enlighten us as to your intentions.

Kind regards

Steven

In my opinion, this person is not yet serious about giving up, and nothing anyone says will make any difference until he reaches that point.

Until the nature and content of Baljits posts begin to change, I would much rather channel my energy into supporting people who are ready to quit, and exert some effort into the process.

He may well get serious about quitting at some point, but until then support will fall on deaf ears.

I for one, don't want to feed this lack of commitment by giving attention to this thread and writing responses.

A QUOTE FROM A WISE MAN

trying

User Posted: Sun 11 Dec 2011 17:21:30

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered “Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.

What you say and what you do seem to be 2 differant things.

All your diary has on it is amounts youve lost betting not how your trying to stop.

I dont think you have any intention to stop gambling i think you are just taking the ***.

Sorry if that is harsh but i dont see you even trying to whats the point.

Hi Baljit...

Just read your entire diary...Self exclusion is the only way as these experts say.

Could your wife also start a diary?

All the best

OK everyone, let's get one thing clear. This is just one giant *** take and I can't believe that it has taken so long for everyone to figure this out. Some people did but as they say "You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time"

Let's call his bluff and stop posting. WE all know secretly that we just read it for a laugh and that he has become a joke. But the joke is on us!! Well for me I will not waste anytime on this joker exept to say:

I was up £50,000 today but then went and lost it all and the rent money.

There are so many bookies and I can't help myself. I have given them my bank details and have asked them to make regular direct debits in future so I won't have to keep going in. I think that this is a really positive step I have taken.

Today was my last bet and recovery starts December 29th 2011. Or untill the first direct debit hits my account.

Clearly a blatant pisstake. Same format every time. Still, this Baljit person does highlight the absolutely ridiculousness of gambling: the huge amounts wasted, the claims of never doing it again, the never doing anything constructive to prevent it happening again, the not listening to what other people have to say. Basically, Baljit is the way all of us were before we tried to get help, a loser born to repeat the same mistake again and again. You can lead a horse to water, etc etc.... Far from mocking us, this diary only serves to illustrate the madness of CG.

Anyway, here's Baljit's next entry (probably):

Just **** £50k on a horse named 'Wonky'. It only had 3 legs. Never again! So annoyed. Today is the last day I will ever gamble.

First day of recovery, today+1. WILL HAPPEN. (aye)
