I was thinking, how about trying something different.

To see if it would work.

Instead of telling us you bet yesterday and will give up today.

Why not see , if you could give up for 3 days, then post. That way you would have given a bit of commitment to recovery and maybe we can help you to get more days under your belt.

You never know trying something new might make all the difference.

If nothing changes then nothing changes!

You have a chance tomorrow to get some photos of yourself and go in to bookies and ask to self exclude. This way they are permitted to call police if you attempt to gamble in their shop. I have heard your desperation for some time on here and I wish I could do something for you. However it is your decision to do something that will help you in this matter. As Dusty says stay away for three days just to clear your head with gambling thoughts.

Take care

Good, now please post EVERY day and try and listen to our advice. Any more thoughts on self exclusion like Smiler and many more of us have suggested to you?

Make this the REAL start in your recovery journey and not yet another false one!

Now this is more like it, posting every day to share your success. Please keep it up, we don't want to see any more bad news from you!

How about sharing with us about your self-exclusion processes? You really need to get those blocks in.

You are managing to stay bet free because you have no money for the next month. How will you ensure that when you get paid at the end of February, it won't go straight back to the bookies? What measures are you putting in place NOW, ready for THEN?

Good for you,

For the first times since 2009 you have stayed in recovery for3 days.

I told you if you did that , I would support you.

So here I am, your next challenge is to make it a week, and to self exclude from the bookies.

Looking forward to hearing that you have steped up and completed challenge 2

Baljit,

I have just spent some time reading bits of your diary and have decided on this...

...if you don't post every day or show your utmost to stop gambling or listen to our comments then I will never click on your diary title again.

I am sorry if this sounds harsh but I believe that far too many have tried to help you and you have rarely acknowledged their comments.

We are all here to support each other in this difficult recovery journey from the hell-hole that is called gambling.

You seem to want to stop and that's brilliant. But at the end of the day, it is YOU that has to make the right choices for YOURSELF.

I really hope that you will take on board what I have said as I, and many others on here, are keen to help and support you.

Now please don't let us or yourself down!
