I imagine he's decided to spend a good proportion of this month's wages on treating his long-suffering wife to a much deserved holiday, now that he's not wasting them on gambling.

Did any of us really believe that this wouldn't happen, straight after payday? We all know from experience what it means when baljit goes quiet.

Any chance of an update? By my calculations you should be 60 days gamble-free today. I hope you enjoyed your holiday in India.

I so gutted i have been gambling every day sorry to all the people that are helping me, i am just a loser and let down. But every person is not the same. I have done well today is my 2nd day of no gambling on Horses,Dogs,

Last bet was on Sun 12th August 2012 i know i have done this a few times give up for 3 weeks then back in to betting again this time i will give it my best shot.

For me to 2 days bet free is good i was betting everyday in the bookies or on the net.

you never win in this game if you have £20 keep it or it will go to them. Last week i done £100 on one horse at evens it was no where

Why don't we learn i been gambling everyday for the last couple of years, fed up of losing money and being skint. I am being honest its very hard to stop its like a drug in your blood . i will stop this gambling. I did lose money today as well.

If you look back at my dairy every other day i say i am going to give up or its my first day of recovery,

i will try again today i have made some good move

i have phoned the bookies and closed my internet betting accounts because i was betting of the net and going to the betting shops and i am going to change my debit visa card number, why do bookies take bank cards now its wrong.

Today is my last day of betting Sun 14th Oct 2012,

First day of recovery is Mon 15th Oct 2012, no more betting from Mon on Horses,Dogs,Virtual and roulette and machines.

I will beat this new start new me and please any advise will help sorry people have tried to help me before but its hard i will try from now .

Baljit,

this can be done. Just take small steps at a time. I've got a lot of good advice from fellow members of this board on my diary thread. You might want to take a look at it.

Good luck into your recovery.
