day 122,

Well another day gamble free :). This work is easy but not paying well but only takes 2 hours or 3 of my time a day at the moment. I am looking for more work full time work where i know i will get a good pay or guaranteed wage.

Its another sunny day and I am off to cycle down the gym burn loads of calories and do a good work out then come home and cook a lovely lasagne for me and my wife before I have football training and she has a staff meeting I know which i would prefer to be at lol.

glad to hear it is going well mate, it prob will take time to adjust from being a soldier but i bet you gonna enjoy it seeing friends and family more often thats what its all about.

im struggling a bit at the moment not with gambling or wanting to gamble its the moods i one minute really happy then like at the moment on a real downer im gonna take a couple days out bud

Day 123,

well being free from the army has definitely given me a lot more free time and trying to find things to fill the day is hard. I am the gym nearly everyday. I work but not for many hours and I am cooking nice meals keeping on top of my healthy regime to get fit before my honeymoon which is in January. But no thoughts of gambling I will just try to keep busy and come on here catch up with friends etc.

This week definitely has been a long one which is a good thing it means gambling or the army aren't taking up all my time. I just got to keep busy not get bored otherwise I am going to be in trouble. So going to take up reading as well anything to keep me busy and not gamble.

Hi Ricky thanks for your post mate. Weeks been a bit crazy so haven't had time to get back to you and didn't wanna just type a quick message with a load a rubbish in it lol.

I didn't realise either that we're pretty much day for day. It's been an ok journey. Really tough early on, from January I did 50 days then slipped then I was having lapses every few days or maybe get to 1 or 2 weeks bet free then Id relapse again and it was tough but ultimately I'm here now 4 months off it and it feels great. My longest ever has been 3 months (done that 3 years ago) so was well chuffed when I beat that. Now my heads clear I know I have a problem and that I just can't gamble without going out of control so that's it I have to stop not easy but for now it's working. I am on flaggs 90 day thread and I think that has helped a lot. Got me over that 3 month barrier where I probably would've started to think I could control myself and would've slipped for sure, it's a great thing to be apart of, I'm sure you agree and it's great that youve got that target, if your like me it'll keep you focused and determind to stick with it.

Hope we can both always be around the same number of days bet free and that well never give up giving up. How have you found getting this far? It's a great achievement the 4 month mark. Look forward to celebrating with ya at the end of the 90 day challenge.

Hi again well another weekend almost over and another week gamble free. Thanks for the comments. I have had a busy weekend but fun I have got another football match this evening looking forward to that.

Got that Monday feeling again. Don't want to work because I don't like this new job but I could do with some extra money to have a social life so got to bite the bullet on this one.

Hi ricky cheers for the post seems are journeys are very similar minus the army that is. I've gambled most of my life, were both the same age and both around the same number of days gamble free. Plus my fiancé now wife has stuck with me - means a lot doesn't it. And gives a little extra determination to beat this knowing are wife's are behind us.

Take care mate keep setting and beating them targets. And hope you didnt work to hard today. Gotta love mondays lol.
