Right I found out why getting urges my stress levels at work is putting me in a mode where I want to gamble. I've just relaxed a bit at work and my urges have stopped! Weird how my brain works.

4th post today already :/....

Work is stressing me so much due to them under paying me for over a year now. It's ok for them to chop and change whenever it suits them, all I ask is to be treated the same for doing same job as others.. I do understand that If I was paid that £9000 That was underpaid, I would have spent it down the bookies. As Im trying my hardest to give gambling up this time I'm pushing for the pay i deserve so I can save up for once and change my life around.

DAY 12

Better mood today which is helping me think positive and clear. Nearly at the 2 week mark which is not a big deal but to me this is the mark where I start to give in to my urges, NOT this time!

It's a easy day ahead at work today so I'm going to be writing a list of things that relaxes me so if I ever have a urge I can try and counter it by doing something that helps me over them urges.

DAY 15

So I'm finally over the 2 weeks mark. It does not seem a lot to my mates or even my girlfriend tbh but I'm happy that I reached that and still going strong.

I will not be giving in to this as I've done in the past. It's time for me to save my hard earnt money and not even think about placing a bet or going on the Fobt again!

Happy with my progress so far!

Congrats mate on going over 14 days. It might not seem a lot to a lot of people but they don't understand how hard it is to go one day without gambling never mind 14.

Well done

Cheers Jamie s139 and ODAAT

DAY 16

On my way to London today to see my girlfriend and maybe see mates later on in the big city.

It's been a busy morning since waking up so I have not gave gambling a second on my time which is nice.

I'm closing in on my 25 day target so I will be treating my self to something, aftershave is low and new trainers are in need so I guess I will be buying them 🙂

DAY 17

Enjoying my time with my girlfriend and mates in London without thinking about gambling, which is really really nice tbh.

If I didn't give up when I did then I'd say I would not be in London this weekend due to the way I was losing all my wages and spending my rent along with it!

Amazing what a couple of weeks can do.

DAY 21

So pay day has arrived again, still feel in control and still no urges this week.

I have a little spare this week but not a lot due to im still paying for my mistakes of spending my rent money instead of paying it. Next couple of weeks my finances will be looking a lot better and the fact that I'm in talks with my managers at work about getting a 20% wage increase is great, thing might be starting to fall into place.
