Yesterday was hard. Very hard. Gambling was on my mind constantly. Thankfully I didn't give in. One day complete

Keep @ it Jamie ODAAT! You know how much better life is in recovery & you have to fight hard every day especially in these early days! I'm guessing the house is even more crazy with presents & sugar & all the other things that make this time of year so hectic but you need to get back into the mindset of gambling being destructive! Yes, it gets you out if the house, yes it may help you forget the dramas of the kids but it brings its own agonies & there's no room for more stress in your life! Keep close to the site as you get through to the New Year & hopefully the counselling will help you figure out some different coping mechanisms!

You can do this - ODAAT

My main aim this for 2016 is to not gamble. If I can do this it means i would be able to take family on holiday. Pay a large chunk to our wedding. Redecorate the hall and living room. Carpet the whole house and maybe buy a new sofa. Renew my season ticket for football. Take me and the Mrs away to Blackpool on February and October for weekend break from kids to relax and spoil ourselves. These are the things I want to do for 2016 but won't be possible to do them if I gamble. Gonna print this sheet out and tick each thing I get to complete. Day 5 today. Good luck to everyone for 2016

No gambling urges no gambling thought and no gambling. Decent start to 2016. I know it was just after Xmas I stopped again and so far so good. I've booked holiday for me and kids in July. I've paid to take me and mrs to Blackpool on Febuary and I've also started saving for Xmas. With 5 kids you have to be prepared.

Well I'm back. After 2 months of gambling and getting into debt. I'm so angry and ashamed of myself. Things go.well for a while then I just can't control myself. I then forget this feeling and have a bet usually have a winner and then the vicious circle starts again. I have a wedding to pay for. Holidays to pay for and if I don't stop this won't be possible. I tried councelling I went twice but it just wasn't for me. I don't know where to go from here I feel totally rubbish. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hope everyone is doing well

Payday here thankfully managed to work out money pay a bit less here and there and it's not as bad a situation as I feared. Soon as I realised this betting came straight to my head. So online banking transfer all wages to Mrs account. No access no betting
