Well, afternoon all. Today I thought I would change my Diary title, it did'nt quite say much as I am now more than two weeks free!

Anyway's, it now entails a quote from 'Albert Einstein' himself. Yes, and if you still think you can beat it...Well dont even try!

I will change this regurlarly with different quotes I think, came across a page on the internet with some really good ones. Kinda put's it into a bit more perspective when you admit to having a problem and then reading about how you can NEVER win! (Still, little thoughts go through my head still, how stupid is that! lol)...

well thanks for the post to me thread. yeah feels pretty good getting through pay day with no regrets. sure dont miss that sunken feeling of giving it all away and having to scrape by for a few weeks on nothing. yup pays to keep what we got. hope your pay day goes well for ya too.

hope all is good with ya. know your working that late shift too this week and has really sucked the big one for me sleep wise any way. hope your slumber time has been better.

Theassiam.. Allw ell and good my friend, thanks for stopping by and keeping an eye out! All good, I been like a zombie the last four days/nights with work, find it extremely difficult to sleep in the day no matter how tired I get! Well, those 4 nights are over just got home from work, I do have a day off today but cannot really count is as a day off as back tomorrow at 14:00, so I have finished work on my day off.. Lol

I have decided however because of this fact, I am now indulging in a Vodka and Orange, not my usual choice, hell it's all I got in the fridge in the moment till I go shopping later after a bit of a sleep! I can feel that alcohol rush around my bloodstream sooo fast as I am so tired! Hehe The theory is I will sleep well !!!

All good on the gambling front, not tempted in the slightest too... I think I have this forum to thank for that and all you amaazing people on here, it was my payday again today (I get paid weekly) so have done the rounds just a few minutes ago, paid the bills, transferred some cash into my savings, left a bit to spend through the week and managing really good at the moment. Seeing a bank statement with no gambling transactions really does make me feel soo good!

Well, my Jacxket arrived this morning, yeeha...It is really awesome, also my new guitar which I ordered last week, nothing expensive just an electric acoustic Fender, great sound for a guitar for a couple of hundred quid.. I have had many guitars in the past, however due to gambling, out of work etc they have all found there way to the pawn shops! Not this one.. I need something to occupy that time I would have spent on gambling...

Time is moving extremely fast, it is now another 3 days I have to minus from mine and Flagg's target of the new year since my last post.. I remember time going sooooo slow when in that gambling regime, as i would be skint after a couple of days of been paid, when I worked for the NHS i got paid monthly so that 3 and a half weeks felt like a lifetime, buit I'd always do it again...so stupid.

Well time to say Hi to a few folks on here, then a couple more beers (If I can manage it) then try get some good sleep today!

This quote is longer from Ralph Waldo Emerson, a great writer, sociologist, lecturer and poet.. however I think this first part just nails it. I kinda like these quotes, good knowledge for those pub quizzes! lol I guess quote's can have a different interpretation for everyone but for me, this one liner means if you work hard, you will reap the rewards, and dont gamble on that great big wheel of chance(our life)...

So pleased ur life is changing and so much for the better , the brain is now functioning on all cylinders and can now see what gambling does for u , no point in goin back there now there's more things in life to enjoy , jacket and guitar just for starters

Great to see u makin full use of ur diary and still finding the time to support many others , it is so hard to read all diaries but a post of support will go a long way for anyone even if just a few words , making that effort and knowin ur helping others will also help u even more in ur own recovery

Ur proving to be vital member of this forum and its people like u that make it as good as what it is and works so well
