Here we go again. I keep reading the science that it just chemicals in the brain but boy are they powerful.

I totally understand that I am not doing it to win or lose any more just to have time in the zone to blank everything out but even understanding that makes it no easier.

it started for me watching my Mam gradually get worse each day with Parkinson's and then eventually die. It became a way to block out the pain for a few hours maybe once a week but then get worse. It is still away to block out the pain and other stresses but I look back at the cost and know it has got to stop.

Hi Thisishowitfeels,

It's been a few weeks since you posted and I wondered how you are getting on. Please keep in mind that you can always get in touch with an advisor directly either on the HelpLine 0808 8020133 or on the NetLine http://www.gamcare.org.uk/support-and-counselling/frontline-services/netline#.VfaVpS1wY3Q

Both services are open from 8am to midnight every day and you could, amongst others, talk about support which is available to you, like face to face counselling.

All the best to you

Gabriele
