Do not risk loosing your Xmas wages!!! Gambling will not only strip your bank account clean, but also spoil your Xmas, your peace and serenity and your family time.
The odds are not in our favour. It's only the bookies/casinos that hohoho all the way to the bank
Whole heartedly agree!! I've had far too many Christmas' ruined and every ounce of Christmas spirit drained out of me-awful, as it's absolutely my favourite time of year! To have a Christmas and not owe a payday, credit card a penny is one amazing feeling!! Never again can I go back to that dreading Christmas feeling, when sat around the dinner table, you're there in person, but all you want to lock yourself away and gamble! No gambling companies are getting my hard-earned cash this year!! Hope everyone else can stay strong this Christmas Cx
Wise words, shame this isn't advertised on every gambling site and in all bookies and casinos. Might just make people think twice!
Its sad but this time of year the bookies, casino and bingo sites will be rubbing their hands together watching as poor old sods chuck their Xmas wages at them in the vain hope of having a big win for Xmas.
Yes Lisa Bee they will take many families to the edge
Also love Xmas! Its a dangerous time for gambling, Xmas nights out at casino, etc. I won’t ruin Xmas for me or my family
Great post Katie. I totally agree with you and the others, we need to be extra vigilant. Please DO NOT risk your last monthly pay packet before Christmas gambling. Even if you don't have a lot of spare cash, use the little you have to make Christmas as good as it possibly can. I'm looking forward to having a quiet one. All the very best everyone, Joanne

Bump. Absolutely spot on topic and posts. Bless you all. Why didn't I come across something like this over the last 17 Christmases! could have been just the stimulus required to see me through at least one of them...
Ps love that post about what a powerful advert this message would be... I could see it now as an anti-gambling advert on TV... Perfect...
Mind you, I have never seen an anti-gambling advertisement ever (when the fun stops doesn't count)
Has anyone else? Maybe day 1 stories are the closest I've come to potent anti-gambling material...

I get paid next Wednesday and I am adamant that I’m not losing them to gambling! No flippin chance!
I wish I'd have joined this forum before it was too late. I will most likely be ok over Christmas but I'm just disappointed at myself for slipping into the trap once again. It been 3 years since I started gambling again after being bet free for 2 full years, I still remember how I got back on it, I hate being a gambler I feel like an absolute failure. I like who I was when I didn't gamble and hate who I am now.
Sign up to gamstop if your problem is online. Once you can't do it, you start to think less of it. I can't believe I put myself through it for so many years. Yes I sometimes have urges, not as strong as mindset is changing. Ironically I now hate spending money
Xmas wages and a bonus - this is a time I have looked forward to and also with some concerns - as I have said on my thread I have a concern that I always start to think gambling if I have spare money - I need a new kitchen and I need to save some money! I know I need to not have access whatever I do!
The key thing is the bookies won’t get a £1 this year not even a Xmas bonus
Affected by gambling?
