Hi all, I am 194 days gambling free, this is my second attempt at stopping gambling. I find the urges a lot stronger the further down the line, and I wondered how many others feel this way and how you best cope.Â
thank youÂ
Hello RB,
Â
well done for doing 194 days gamble free so far, that’s a massive achievement!!! Becoming self aware of are potential actions and seeking help to prevent a relapse is part of the process of recovery and I promise the urge to gamble will subside in time you just have to share what’s going going on in you’re head with trusted friends and family or on the forum which should act as a barrier to prevent gambling again.
Â
I hope you stay strong and well and gamble free.
Â
just for today I will not gamble, and enjoy Banksy art work get deletedÂ

Evening RB
Â
Well done on your 1984 Gamble free days, that is a great achievement and you clearly know most strategies to help you through each day. So please give yourself praise.
It does take continuous courage and self-awareness, as Dave101 confirms to resist the urges.
At times of pressure recognise that you have to give yourself a bit of support. That will look different for everyone. For me, was always to talk it through with someone that understands. Or even to write down the things that you have achieved since being gamble free or do an activity that brings you some pleasure or solace.
Gamcare is full of people who use all the services as a way of after care in recovery.
We are always here to help so you are not alone at any time.Â

Having 194 days gambling free, is a great achievement.
Each of my attempt at stopping gambling helped me understand what was my last emotional trigger.
As we heal our pains share in therapies we get to see and understand by hearing other people expereinces.
For me the recovery program would help me help m self.
Learn how to heal my pains.
Learn how to reduce my fears.
Learn how to reduce my unreasonable expectations of people life and situations.
Learn how to reduce my isolation and avoiding emotional intimacy
Learn how to reduce my procrastiantions.
To understand each of my needs and to improve.
To understand each of my wants and to improve.
To understand each of my goals and to improve.
Just for today only the very last thing I want or need to do is Gamble.
