Day 1 - being honest with myself

Thanks screwball. I still feel stupid for even letting myself get caught up with something that started as a bit of fun. I won 689 on a 25p spin and it was all downhill from there really. I got caught up with all the bonuses on offer etc but think (hopefully) ive seen the light before its too late and lose more than I can cope with losing. Ive self excluded or closed all access to the sites I used - was going to say 'use' but I dont use them anymore. Im going to abstain from now on and find other things to spend my money on. My biggest challenge will be if I need to go on chemo again and have to take time off work when Ill be housebound and immobile but Ill cross that bridege wen I come to it . For now , one day at a time TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE.

Good morning diary, wow day 9 TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE. Had a good day yesterday, busy and to be honestthe time got to 10 pm and for the first time in ages I felt 'normal', happy that i hadnt even given slots a thought. Onwards and upwards. TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE . X

Good morning dairy. Day 11. TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE. thanks Screwball, Laura and Suzanns for your support. Feeling positive, if not to say exhausted by the grandkids lol. Keeping busy so gambling has not even entered my head. It'll be when I get bored that the urges return. My husband said to me the other day, when an advert came on the radio for an online gambling sute ' Have you tried that one' to which I replied no. Felt a liar and a cheat because he doesnt know the grip those sites took on me, or rather I let them take on me. I replied that I wasnt bothering with them anymore which at least wasnt a lie. Good luck to everyone here . DAY 11 TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE .

Good morning diary, TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE. day 16 and thinking less and less about gambling, thank goodness, hence my break from here over the weekend, kept busy and realised I dont need to pick up the ipad and gamble to get me thriugh the day, I find other things to do. early days but getting there hopefully. Hoping the stress of an upcoming scan for my cancer check up doesnt tip me back to the slots. TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE X

Day 17 TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE, time will tell today as Ill be on my own tonight and the ipad will be caling, Im going to resist tho rather than feeling that self loathing and my husband walking thru the door smiling and I have that little voice in my head saying, if only you knew that Id just wasted your hard earned money on online slot!
