Ade

My dear friend from acorns do grow mighty oaks, for me don't be too hard on yourself, you are by no means on day 4,your recovery started back in 2008 when you first admitted your short comings, like the honourable SA you have been through the doors a few times but from each episode you learn a great deal.

Keep making those educated choices my friend

Most of all enjoy it,life is for living, that is made the more pleasureable if it is forefilled and not self self destructed.

Love the list!!

Oh and when you have finished we need ....... lol!!

Thank you Duncs, Michael and Sandra for your supportive posts.

Off work today due to ill health ;0(

Had to abort my trip to Ireland for my aunts funeral as I had some severe chest pain and spent 4 hours in A&E yesterday trying to get to the bottom of the problem. I f*****G hate being ill. I'm a terrible patient.

It sure takes your mind of the madness that is compulsive gambling though. Funny, I never had any inkling to gamble when I was double up in pain, hoping that another coughing fit wasn't going to leave me in agony.

Doctors are not sure whether it's linked to my cardiac problems of a couple of years ago, or pleurisy from the remnants of a chest infection back in October. Either way, there's something not quite right that's left me feeling more 95 than 45!

Another day without gambling should help me out, along with these Co-Dydramol tablets!!

Keep strong all

Ade

Thanks Sandra for your continued support.

Off work again today, and struggling to take it easy. Not really one for sitting around resting. There's always something to do in my world.

A week without gambling has helped to get my head straight, and just being back on here posting, being able to get my thoughts and feelings out in the open helps me immensely.

Keeping strong

Ade

Hope you will feel better as day progress.
Keep up this brilliant work, never on your own and proud to walk alongside you in this journey!

Thanks for your support again Sandra,

Feeling better today healthwise today. No gambling thoughts. Most probably as good as I've felt this calender year if i'm honest. Just feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulders this last week.

Keep strong all.

Great to hear Ade! I feel exactly the same. On wards and upwards my friend. Really good to hear you feel better too. This group has reignited my conscious mind. I'm no longer feeling like a zombie. It's great to read stories like yours and know we aren't alone in this and that we are there, albeit virtually, for one another!

Take care

Rob
