Hi Volcano,

Don't know you personally or anything but I've just come back to this forum after a good few years away and being reading bits of you posts and can relate to parts of your story that lead you back to gambling. I personally work shifts and for me it's a bordem factor and not having things in place and complaiceny that dragged me back gambling again and I hate myself at the moment for what I've done to my family again. I shall look out for future posts from you.

All the Best

Darren

Morning V

Just a quick Saturday morning check in. Hope you've got a nice day planned out obviously with no trip to the bookies scheduled. No profound words just letting you know I'm around if the urge rears its ugly head.

Woodley, thanks, something i've always appreciated about finding this forum is realising i/ we can relate to others. Boredom a common factor, or this could easily relate to learning to live through the mundane, knowingly that the clouds disappear eventually. Easily said than done Darren, but you need to learn to forgive yourself. Will be good for you and filter down to your family. Keep talking

If I was a landoner, I would be saying what a diamond geezer this Martin chap is albeit with the unfortunate affliction of being a Oldham supporter.

I've had my thirst ACT therapy this morning. I'm looking forward to working it..... slowly slowly .

Truthfully, last night and even now, the thoughts of a footie bet is near the forefront of my mind. The barriers are going to be my four walls at this stage... No guilt there, hard week at work! So, kicking back and having a switch off via netflix top of my agenda.

Have a good day

Look forward to reading you put the ACT therapy into place.

I've got the same plan today catching up on some tv running out of box sets to watch now lol but it helps keep busy. Also got a book to read that I started last night about a female gambler well I've not got the the end so I'm hoping she's an ex gambler

The books called Gambling: don't bet on it by Joyce B Taylor-Marburg. I'm half way through it just getting into her discovering casinos. It's not a new book published 15 years ago so started set in the 60's I'm just hitting the 90's I'll let you know later when I've finished it.

Documentary I'm not a great watcher of them other than deadliest catch and gold rush, both of which I think I got into because if the risks and gambles they take. The best documentary I've seen in a long while was making a murderer, I'm sure you've seen it be now but if not it's a must watch.

Really liked the video. Thank you for posting it. Important message artistically delivered. The horse in it looks familiar. I think it's the same one I backed in the Epsom Derby last year.

Courtney Barnett over the credits.

That's cool.

Super-talented lady.

Anyway, be good to read how you've been getting on.

Wishing you a good weekend volcano.

Thought of Glint and then hey presto !! He appears. Truthfully Glint, I was just about to send you a complaint regarding the 7 day rule and then realised you made it by 3 minutes !! Way to go Glint .

In work today. The nitty gritty part of job, clear head. A few adult rows. I like them sometimes, especially when we're friends after.Dealing with everyday life and not putting head in sand. Fairly calm equating to = I'm ok!

ps Martin.... The not so mighty Leeds getting beat by Sutton. A team no doubt Oldham will he playing regularly. Thin skin for an addict, thick skin for our respective footie teams, im sure you can relate to

3 weeks Monday gf.

HA HA d:-D

Been in breach of that 7 day rule a few times.

The terms and conditions have changed. I've posted every calendar month I've been here, I'll try to keep that intact now.

Not posting as much at the moment, I'm about though and for the people I support I'm never away.

Morning V was hoping for a Saturday morning check in from you. Sounds like you have the time filled today even if it is with work.

Your right we might well be playing Sutton sooner rather than later, I should take the mock as we was knocked out of the cup by non league Lincoln.

Have a good day bud I know I'm going to.

Random thought of the day.

Stress - it's either too early or too late! Stress free is middle ground. Balance!

A massive black cloud descended upon me for the first few days after my last post.

Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired = HALT and they all engulfed me at the same time. So close to trying to escape all of them via gambling..

But hai Ho, I sat through the negative emotions and then slowly the blue sky appeared and now 4 weeks GF.

I'm getting something
