facing my fears

Hi Lili,glad netline was helpful,i really feel for you,as others have said it makes it doubly difficult when you partner likes a bet,i do agree though that you need to gain some agreement with him re the finances otherwise you will be fretting even more,and that is the last thing you need right now.I guess you have to tread very carefully in broaching anything to do with his gambling because you wont want to make him defensive and secretive about it......,your bright enough to think of a good way i'm sure :).

Absolutely shattered and my legs are aching! Back to work today after being sogned off for a week with stress/anxiety - and had the most stressful day ever! You have to laugh, if you don't you'd cry!

Felt totally overwhelmed this morning, way out of my comfort zone and way too short staffed to get the support I thought I needed. However I did get there in the end and got just enough help to get me through and by the time I was ready to leave and hand over to a colleague I was able to give her the support she needed. It just shows you - sometimes we tell ourselves we can't cope but with faith and sticking with it, it's amazing what we do achieve.

So, when we feel we just can't do this, let's just hang in and use the support on here -WE WILL SUCCEED!!

I have replied to you individually, but thankyou again all of you who sent me lovely messages. I'm so tired tonight that I'm just not going to think of my problems just now. I'm having a late late dinner. My stew is nearly ready. Mmmm it smells good - hope it tastes as good.

Working tomorrow 1230 -8.30pm. But looking forward to going now. If I can get through today, I can get through any day. It's not the stress, it's how we deal with it, isn't it?

What a great positive post. It's good to see that you've got through a tough day. Work can sometimes be a really good thing and by throwing yourself back into it, you can sometimes see the strength that you didn't know you had. I know that whats happened with me this year. Well Done.

Hmmm lili...if id paid thousand s of pounds to watch that id be booing as well...manys an f word to be honest....shades of argentina 78 so we re no saints either ,your comments may be a tad ott 🙂 ..i wonder if the same paper thinks its the best group since the Beatles now.... personally think england can and still will qualify ....on the positive side with the recent results id be absolutely skint if gambling 🙂 congratulations on your 4 weeks we can do this 😉

Lili...thanks for the supportive post....going through legal channels costs a fortune and am totally skint at present so thats a no no...mediation yes but no way will she talj to a stranger(if only she read my diary shed hammer me lol) phones have been put down on manys an occasion...i have arranged to go round monday tho that could all change.,congratulations (again) on your 4 weeks we can do this 🙂

Piece of useless information for you all -

If England draw with Slovenia, they will join Scotland - in being the only team to be knocked out of the World Cup without losing a game!

Scotland got knocked out beating Zaire 2-0, but Yugoslavia scored 9 goals against Zaire!!

Into my second month. I will not be gambling today. Got £120 from my man this morning to help with bills. Will be putting it in the bank tomorrow. He worked all day yesterday and is out early to work today.

I am going to just deal with his gambling as/when it happens to affect me and not fret about it. If he goes on my PC and is doing it while I am in the house, I will ask him to stop. If he doesnt then I'll go out!

Just hate being around him now when he's shouting at his horses to go - and they usually don't listen to him anyway. Then it's - how unlucky was that - I would have won if this or that and the next thing....blah blah blah. Total waste of time and energy

I have passed my new found information on to my youngest son, who likes to pride himself on his football knowledge. I expect I burst his bubble too!

My eldest son was at the World Cup in France too. He stayed in Canet Plage with a big group who travelled by bus. Had the time of his life!

I'm going to stop posting if you're going to keep knocking me down! -lol
