I'm glad my own journey helps others....you're doing just fine Sharon. ...and I'm over the moon to hear of the break youve managed to arrange....diesnt matter how small an achievement is hun....its been acheieved by you...because you made the choice to say "no more"...as time moves on...things will fall into place because youre making good choices....because youre facing youre addiction head on...and not letting it chain you up again...
Enjoy you're break....make lots of memories and be proud of what you've achieved xd

Thanks Matt, ditto!! So really enjoyed our minibreak, so good to have a small amount of disposable cash for some treats etc. Walked by the pier arcades one night and felt relieved to not feel tempted to put in 'just a twenty' where not that long ago I would have emptied my purse without a doubt. I definitely feel I'm in a different phase of recovery and am trying to look after myself and look to the future but still taking a day at a time, as always the support on this site is invaluable. Have a great GF day S:)

So hello Monday! Haven't posted much recently as work is super busy and to be honest I don't really think about gambling. Only when an e-mail or text pops up from Payplan am I reminded that I used to gamble literally every penny I had away. When I think back now I was in the full grip of gambling even though I thought I was in control. I praise they day I found this site and made the decision to put an end to the madness. I'm not claiming to have full recovered and that everything is peachy but life is liveable now instead of existing. Anyone at the beginning of their journey please hang in there, it will take time but it'S the only way forward. Have a great GF week and many more S:)

Hi Sharon.

Lovely to read that you are now "living" life again - it's good isn't it?!!

Have a lovely week ahead.

Great to see you're in a better place Sharon...living life...even with its usual daily ups/downs...is way better than existing in an addictive state...and all the c**P that comes with it...
Well done you xx

Hi Sharon thankyou for the post on my diary , always appreciate your advice and encouragement . Think you would probably make a great Counsellor with your insight , compassion and understanding .

Just been to my Salsa class which was fun .

About to arrive in 90 Day GF . Plan to spend the day here and savour the moment , might just chill out , soak up the atmosphere . Than back on the road refreshed and ready to rock and roll . Below is a little reminder of the day Sharon Superstar passed through here .

Day 90...time seems to be effortlessly flicking by unlike in the early days when an hour seemed like an eternity. So good to do 'normal'things like pay bills, do a shop without being tight and looking forward to a minibreak. Still haunted by the losses but that money isn't coming back so to quote a phrase I heard today 'park it up and move on' Forever grateful to this site and everyone here happy GF evening people S 🙂
