Today is my 30th day gamble free, and i have to keep fighting, still regrets i could quit wihtout losing a penny but paid huge price in form of my life savings in few minutes. Sometimes we make stupid decisions of our lives due to our non serious attitude, i hope i will take the life serioulsy from now on

Hi FM,

Well done on getting a month without gambling and wasting money. I think the first few weeks are the hardest so well done. Just need to keep it up and not get complacent. Keep working through the urges!

Take care

James

Day 35 for me too and I totally get your above post fm79.
No bells, no whistles but just got to keep plodding on, doing what we know ultimately is the right thing to do.
Some say you've got to forget your losses. That's easier said than done when because of them, you're struggling daily.
You said earlier sometimes we make stupid decisions, I guess we've got to just keep going, reminding ourselves and feel proud that we've replaced that stupid decision with a sensible one of not gambling so that never again will we have to sink to the depths of despair where gambling can take us.
Keep going fm79 and I'll keep keep on going right beside you.

Thanks lil miss l for your support, i know exactly how you feeling right now, as you said forgetting losses very easier said then done. This is how gambling made us totally brainless, and we do things which we never do in real practical life. For a person like me who was already going towards quittng without losing much from this my little gambling experience then throw away all life savings on the day when i supposed to quit is a big shock for me.

God knows how long its going to take but i am suffering every day guilts regrests shocks heartaches etc...

Hi Walk i understand you feelings , yes i am sure i was not compulsive gambler but was going towards it, quitting gambling was not difficult at least for me as i played only few months in my whole life, the only regret is that i made a worst blunder before quitting which i never done in my whole life, lost all my savings just because of my non serious attitude, i could have left gambling without losing a penny but paid the big price just for quitting.
