Day 42 (6 weeks),

I had one open bet from before I stopped gambling 6 weeks ago. I discovered at the weekend that it had won. Not a huge amount when I consider my previous loses but still a good amount. I walked in to the bookmakers last night, went for a walk whilst the money settled and then picked it up and walked straight out again with my head held high. I would never have done this in the past. This money would have been used for more bets, especially with the Euros coming up. It was so good to be able to put £200 into savings for the children and to give the remaining £120 to my wife to treat herself to something. She would never normally spend this money on herself so it felt good to be able to treat her.

Another gambling free day awaits. I can and I will do this.

Best wishes to all.

Dave

Well done for walking away. Is it not worth walking back into that bookies again and SE or call the number and SE close the doors no point in keeping them open
