Well I got to near a year without gambling, but I set up an online account which I have never done before which I have been gambling on roulette for the last month I have won about 1500. So if I could stop now id be in a good place money wise. But that's the question can I stop

Hi, long time reader but I don't post much. I suppose congratulations on nearly going a year.

Don't know what to say about whether you should keep the money, I hope you do but if your a compulsive gambler you wont.

Just to take you away from the money..I just thought I'd copy and paste the last few lines of your first ever post on here.....

but still cant get over what i have lost threw it. MONEY,GIRLFRIEND AND DAUGHTER. Gambling had taken over my life. But no more i must fight back

£1500 or not don't forget whats this addiction has done to you and the great work you had been doping up until the slip and why you quit in the first place

good Luck

Well lost 1800 today yes its money I have won but I have put meself and my mam threw hell today again. It has to stop for good I can,t gamble because I can,t stop I no all this but I still do it.

Like I have said its only money I have won so I have not blown all the money I saved when I went near a year gamble free but that's not the point.

I just have to make sure I go over a year gamble free and that 1800 will be worth it because its taught me another lesson can,t gamble BECAUSE I CAN,T STOP.

fella sorry to read you went back at it but glad you see it as a lesson.

Your post would have read like many incidents in my gambling life. To abstain for periods of time to then be fooled into thinking a pound on the lotto would be fine, or a couple of quid on an accumulator on the football.

All this did was to gift my addiction the edge, then the pursuit of the fobt would follow and with it destruction.

There is a for us the compulsive gambler one choice.

Total abstinence.

I did win because I did stop.

Three days on my friend be proud, learn your lesson. You can't change the past you can use it to educate the future.

Be proud as again you are a winner.

fella take a deep breathe.

Take it easy on yourself and get those blocks in place my friend.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Take it an hour at a time.

I cannot win because I cannot stop.

The mantra we live by in action.

Turn that round and be proud for posting, too many disappear back at it.

Be kind to yourself.
