Hello Sharon. Hope your happy and well.

I am taking some time out from the diaries to get my thoughts together. I gambled today and don't really understand why.

Take care...stephen. x

Yes day 327, doesn't seem possible. ....

@Stephen so sorry to hear you're having a rough time, stay in touch and hear from you soon S 🙂

@Katiecoo thank you, goes both ways! Would have got nowhere without the support and encouragement of this site and everyone here. Let us carry on and live the lives we want x

@Wilsy again thank you, I never want to go back to merely existing in a cycle of gambling, life is for living. Take care S 🙂

Hope your happy and well Sharon.

331days into your recovery and able to look back (with shock and horror) at your gambling history. The wonderful thing is that you have consigned it to history.

In your last post you wrote: "I never want to go back to merely existing in a cycle of gambling, life is for living."

Sharon the gambling addict was a different person to the Sharon who has now won her freedom. You are stronger and wiser. The gambling Sharon was a lovely person but she had lost her way. It would be nice to think of her with love and compassion. She was like you say a "loose cannon" but I imagine she thought she was doing what was for the best.

For a long time I was 56 days behind you but my courage failed me. A few more batterings by the addiction and here I am back on the road. I live in hope that Stephen the Strong will come to the fore and lead me home.

Take care...stephen x x

Enjoy Stephen 🙂

Day 338 Busy as ever and enjoying GFness and realising that if you want something go for it. It's so useful to take inspiration from other diaries-Matt, Duncan and many others who have been at the point of no return but has got their lives back by remaining GF. Sure hasn't happened overnight but to reinstall self worth is crucial, I'm getting there. Happy Weekend Sx

Day 340 feeling very Mondayish today so alert!!! Moaney post coming up. I appreciate having this forum to spills my beans on as in 'real' life I feel like the one that everyone else offloads onto. I honestly am there for family and friends but sometimes think it's a one way street or I just let everything build up, say nothing then feel resentful. I did have one counselling session over the phone but nothing really happened after that, probably need to chase this up. Sorry for rambling just thought better out than in lol. More than anything am glad to still be GF after years of being trapped. Take care S 🙂

Congratulations Sharon on 340 days gamble free. The number really looked awesome so I checked it out. I think it is quite descriptive of your journey, the sadness you have coped with and the courage you have shown.

Significance & Meaning of Angel Number 340....Determination and hard work are fondly associated with the angel number 340. It is a sign that when you put your mind to something , work on it and you will succeed. The world might discourage you and than fill you with fear and anxiety. But when you are determined and focussed nothing should deter you from succeeding.

Take care...stephen x

Morning Sharon hope you are happy and well.

You have really shown what you are capable of during the last 344 days gamble free. First and foremost you have been there for your daughter, you have offered support and encouragement to family and friends (including gamcare friends like me) and you have worked your little socks off trying to put your finances in order.

Be proud of what you have achieved. Your recovery has been difficult, you have had to overcome adversity but you have battled on with courage, hope and a smile. Thank you Sharon for being a true friend and an inspiration...stephen x
