Quite right Sharon and good that you can look at things in a loving and realistic way. Your daughter will no doubt view herself as an adult with her own ideas and views on life

Parents and children have disagreements all the time but sadly they sometimes say regrettable things. It is imperative that disputes be resolved in a calm way that hopefully will satisfy both parties.

Your journey is a wonderful testament to what can be achieved with courage, determination and resilience. Not only have you battled with your own problems, you have always been there to support your fellow travellers.

I often think of GamCare as being a treasure chest containing dreams and wisdom, an Aladdins Cave of hope and inspiration.

Come friday you will a year away from your last gamble. That is absolutely wonderful.

Day 360 Sounds cheesy but 360 feels very significant, I feel genuinely like a different person from nearly a year ago. From feeling hopeless, scared and worthless to more confident, happy and resilient. I can't believe I got myself into such a mess but with time and thought have slowly but surely coming out the other side. Being reassured I'm not alone has meant so much to me so sincere thanks to everyones diary I have read.U have turned things around from having no hope at all or confidence, it can be done! Take care S:)

There will be a flurry of activity at NASA this week as all telescopes are trained on the constellation One Year Gamble Free.

A brilliant star which had been lost is now whizzing through space and will be arriving on friday

Intergalactic gamcare observers are carefully monitoring Sharon Superstar as she rapidly approches the constellation One Year Gamble Free.

Leading astronomer Mr G. Amblefree is overjoyed with the mission so far and predicts a safe arrival on friday.

I have been browsing through your diaries which are a record of your wonderful progress.

You merit enormous respect for the challenges you have overcome and I am grateful for the support you have given me as I have struggled with the addiction.

I can't imagine how it must feel to have completed a full gamble free year but it is something I can aspire to.

So here I am a whole year has passed in various speeds! I genuinely thought I couldn't escaped gambling which was having a huge impact on my life, financially and mentally. I felt weak to it'S power and how much I was attracted to it. I also hadn't realised how little self confidence it had left me with. So I-m now a)Feeling more worthy b)Financially in a far better place c) Feel more like a 'normal' person, but all this would not have happened with the kind souls who have helped and supported me on this site,. Obviously wish I had never taken the gambling path but recovery has taught me so much about mysrlf it is a silver lining! So hppy weekend be kind to ourselves and stay GF Sx

Hope your "1 Year Gamble Free Day" has been good for you. The weather in Hull has been wet and dull but your achievement has really brightened up the day.

Looking at the weather I am tempted to give GA a miss tonight but on the other hand I need to go. My dream is to follow your example and have a gamble free year so i had better get myself moving.
