Hello Sharon, hope your having a lovely weekend. I imagine you will have been reflecting on your wonderful achievement of one year gamble free. No doubt it will be tinged with sadness that you ever became involved with gambling but that is to be expected.

You have certainly come a long way since first arriving at the diaries. At that time you were probably feeling fearful and anxious as you took your first tentative steps on your gamble free journey. Your first diary was "First day to end this addiction" which recorded the anguish you felt and the courage you displayed in the early days of recovery.

The days, weeks and months passed and you started to regain your self respect. Whilst still having negative thoughts and emotions you were resolved to continue on your quest. Along came 24th August 2017 when you started Phase 2 of the journey. This was recorded in your diary "No going back but learning from the past."

Seeing yourself in a different light, you now had self belief and had moved on. Hopes and dreams began to reappear and a bright future beckoned. Seeing that one year gamble free was within your *** you started a third diary "From here to a year." This diary has taken you up to the present time where we see you as committed as ever to a gamble free life. Naturally you are still saddened by your gambling history and the debt it has caused you but I believe you can live with that and stay focussed on the future.

Looking forward to seeing the launch of your 4th diary and following your adventures in year two...stephen x

Hi Stephen yes I have been thinking a lot about well everything!! but am feeling positive about the future. My original debt was approx 15k and is now 11k but I am planning on giving this a good kicking. So really I'm not where I want to be but am on the right road and also being an impatient so in so recovery has made me real igniting is instant but that's ok. Indeed even though I wouldn't wish this addiction on anyone parts of recovery have helped me see myself clearly. Hope you're having a good weekend and I'l start a new thread if I can remember how to do it! Take care Sx

Sharon

Wishingh you a MASSIVE congratulations on your 1 year gamble free. Your support helped get me to where I am today and I am so pleased you are on the same road. The debt is coming down, don't beat yourself up now, it will continue to and this time next year will have reduced a lot more too.

Take care

Matt

Roll out the red carpet, start up the fanfare, make way for one very special lady .!!
Belated congratulations - 1 year is a fantastic achievement. Not only have you had the strength to help yourself travel down this hazardous road you have unselfishly helped many others along the way, myself included.
You deserve nothing but the best. Keep plugging away at those debts but don't forget to save a little to enable you to enjoy your wonderful gamble free life!
All good wishes xx
