Haven't thought much about my losses today, which is a first. When you remember though it's like being hit by a truck. Things are getting easier though, slowly. I'm on track and won't waiver. Gonna let the days rack up and debts fall.

Good luck to all in recovery, especially the early days.

So board at work today. Normally I'd combat that with plans on winning money on the evening! (But end up losing loads instead).

I'm well into my hobbies, feel so much better feeling normal again. I'll will be 'hobbying' tonight!

It's ok to be board at work from time to time, this is real life lol! Still so much better than being in despair. I'll take being board over that any day!

Just checked my account and I'm 33 days free and still going strong.

Good day all.

Day 40 and no urges what so ever. All the time and money isn't coming back but I am where I am. Alive and kicking!

It's always hard to think what if. What if I'd not gambled I'd have so many thousand in the bank blar blar blar. But, what if the gambling made me live a certain way to avoid certain things? I could have bought a faster car with all my money and wrapped it around a tree?

The point I'm making is, I'm where I am today because of a certain path I chose. I'm doing alright, could be better, could be worse. I'll not dwell and be greatfull for what I've got. I am here.

You are doing great.

Stubbornness us a typical trait of gamblers yet when we turn that stubbornness AGAINST gambling, it's amazing how powerful it is.

All the best as you determinedly get to your goal.

45 days free. It doesn't actually sound a lot but feels a lot longer.

I'm still focused on not gambling and I won't. No interest in it in fact. Am looking forward to the future and hitting 6 months free, then onwards and up.

It's good to see the days rack up. I used to be focused on those but now I can go a few days without thinking about it then when I login it's a bigger number.

Onwards we march.

Great stuff Tom,

I'm at 33 days and I know how long that feels. And like you I have absolutely no interest in gambling. I've got the correct blocks in place and also look forward to reading back my diary this time next year.

Nothing much to report other than firmly gamble free. Feeling much better these days, the regret is easing as time goes by. Feeling normal has always been where the complacency has crept back in. Not a chance this time, never again will I take for granted this feeling of being 'normal' again. Happy with getting on with life, with gambling behind me.

65 days free and still going strong.

Got over the Christmas period without a hitch.

No thoughts or urges to report.

When I get to my 12 months free it will be the longest abstaining for longer than I can remember.

To anyone struggling or relapsing you can do this. I was that person but now my mindset is different. Believe in yourself and kick gambling to the curb.

Most people keep relapsing because of the want to win it all back. It will only drive you deeper. Commit to decreasing your debt and once you start it's quite empowering.

Happy New Year everyone.

Good day to you all.

As time goes by I'm beginning to realise how addicted I was (and still would be if I went back to it). Who in their right mind would bet 4 thousand pounds in a coupe of hours? That was me 76 days ago, the thought of doing it now just doesn't compute.

It took years to get to that point though, where I thought that was ok to do. The need for that buzz was so powerful, it changed my mindset.

I've definetly got a different attitude this time around.

It's a big fat ugly lesson learnt.
