Day 41. Busy few days however the weekend has landed. I am On my second payday so money is in the bank. I have more spare cash this month so lots of chances to go back to old ways. It's not happening though I will no gamble.

Being bored is one of my triggers to gamble so I try and keep entertained when faced with this situation to stop the urges to stake a bet.

I have a better budget this month on paper however I am going to stick with £50 a month when I can like last month then what ever spare I have left before the next payday I can save or spend as a treat for doing well.

The days are going up which is great and though tired feel great currently.

The holiday is in 4 days so I will be drinking a cold beer on the beach as I hoped as a testament for my success.

Things are looking good. My mind is clear I have money in the bank for once and no stress of lumping on spare money that I never see to gamble.

Day 43.

It's Sunday and I am finally chilled after a hard week. Back to work Monday then I will be on holiday. I cannot wait I must say.

the footie was on this weekend and had no urges to gamble. Infact I would have lost this weekend for sure if I was back to old ways!!

Went to the shops yesterday bought a few small things for the holiday got me and my partner lunch. Before this was unheard of.

whatever spare cash I have will go in my savings as from a post a few weeks back I really want to get a window cleaning water system and I hope to get my new venture sorted by the start of spring next year.

I now have goals and I am focusing on my future. Before I could not see my future and had no motivation to succeed. I would just chuck every last penny away and live for a moment.

Now I am very much in a happier place. Giving up on my old life was never going to be easy and it sure ain't however I can see right now my thoughts on the dairy, it's been the best decision in ages changing my ways.

Hi I have been gamble free for 5 days after 4 years of on line slots, deceiving and living a total lie. All of your stories are an inspiration and helping me beat this addiction/compulsion. You are doing so well xx

Day 46

Thank you sue for your comments they really mean so much. Keep up your efforts to stay clean. it has been so hard for me in the past where I have never sustained for this long. Now I can truly see the benefits. The fobt always won.

I am currently heading away for holidays today my out of office is on 🙂 one of my goals was to be drinking a cold beer for successfully being gamble free! I have done this now and feel great that I am on a break until next week. sorry to rub this in however I would never of been able to achieve this if I was gambling (holiday) so it has to be written down.

I will be back on for sure after my break and reality hits again.

Keep up the good work everyone. I will have a beer for everyone involved in the process.

Day 50.

Good week so far.. Had many cold beers this week away. Half a century of days which is great. Before I know it I will be doubling up and that ain't £100 on a fobt or horse chasing my losses.

In a great place right now mentally. Watched my team get mauled today which was disappointing but same craic every weekend so no change there really! While I was sipping beers watching the game there was a casino opposite with S***e games flashing at me. No interest. Would rather do other things with my time. I am slowly starting to appreciate the time I have.

hears to another 50 days.

Day 54

Wow so many great messages! They are Really encouraging. Its massive keeping away from my old ways. My mind feels so great.

well back from a weeks holiday. Had a fantastic time. Been a great reward chilling out and having money spare coming back from vacation is a bonus.

just received some unexpected money via a cheque on my return. The cash is going straight to my partner as she is footing my car Loan. No way will I waste the cash. I no a footie bet or a fobt would have been waiting for weekness in this situation in the past.

Well few days relax then back to work. Thanks again for the messages they mean a lot

Day 59

Needed to get a small post in before bed as gambling has been on my mind tonight. I will not be beaten.

A Facebook group post came up with tipsters charging £20 sub fee for life to get in on betting on guaranteed sport that would win. I entered the group (not paying) in search for negative feedback to see how true it really was to find all positive talk.

I had to pull myself back on here to realise what c**P I was reading and that gambling is no means to be successful. I am back down to earth writing this however needed to get it off my chest before sleeping.

Gambling is no way to a better life. I have money in the bank right for the first time in ages which could very easily put me back again if I was to return to my old ways. I need to stop being complacent and enjoy my new path of making my life better for me and the people I love.

Day 61

The money received unexpectedly has been transferred to pay my car loan. It's one week until payday. It will be the third payday since stopping. I have left £350 of my last monthly salary intake. This is unheard of! I am able to treat my partner with a night away in a hotel pay car tax and get my sister a decent birthday present! I will be able to pay a decent amount off my car loan again this month!

I have been thinking about my journey of 61 days so far.

The first month was the easiest. Small money after being an idiot losing the cash to stupid betting on a smart phone . The hangover of losing cash and limited chances to bet due to no cash.

The second month having a focus to stop 'holiday' though temptations creeping back in.

Now into my third month this is where the challenge starts. More opportunities to gamble with money at my disposal. The bad memories still there however complacency could very easily creep in.

the next months goal is to enjoy the month and spend cash on me. A few rewards for doing well. Also getting the car paid off.

life is for living not to be a loser.

Day 63

It's Saturday a none working day and I have just woken up! Lazy I know and now I only have half a day left! But needed to Catch up on the sleep.

Off to pay my car tax soon and maybe go and buy a treat in the process. Will also take the dog out to burn energy!

Booked up with partner to spend a night with friends so over the moon with that. Before I would put it off as i had no cash to do it!

No current urges or gambling thoughts over the last 36 hours so happy days with that respect. We know this comes and goes at any time!

I will keeping fighting this and reach the next milestone of 90 days.
