Well done for getting yourself back up and dusting yourself off. I had many stumbles during my gamble free journey.
What I ask is, what I asked myself, are you still much better off, despite the slip ups?
I found that although I slipped up, several times, months apart, when I did slip up, it wasn't for huge amounts and I still ended up, a few years down the line thousands better off, then had I continued to constantly gamble. Or are you simply spending everything you would over those months of quitting, in those slip up periods.
no way. always small slip ups which is an upside although I would rather no slip ups at all.
You are right though, in the last year have undoubtabley save hundreds / thousands compared to if I was full time gambling
Well done to you.
I found my slip ups were ВЈ50 here £20 there, but were a few months apart. With a couple of long 6 months periods
I urge anyone who is trying to give up, to give up completely. But those who have minor slip ups, months apart, shouldn't beat themselves up.
I'm sure many who give up compulsive gambling still do the lotto or other minor gambles such as Grand National bets.
