Thank you for the posts everyone.

Feeling a bit anxious the past few days probably about going back in work on monday and have been having quite a few urges the past few days to numb out with gambling so i think i need to stay close to my diary for the next few days/weeks, it has served me well thus far and I dont ever want to become complacent to this addiction.

I know to well that one bet and im back to where i was 13 months ago..

I CAN NOT WIN BECAUSE I CAN NOT STOP, so im off to read and post on some diarys.

take care all

Hi Blondie,

Thankyou soooo much for your very kind supportive post on my diary.

I hope that you too are feeling better yourself and the anxiety is fading away. One day at a time is enough for me at the moment, I hope that you maintain your great strength and keep strong too each day.

Reading your first post should do the trick. I've read it often and it strikes a chord with me every time.

Keep strong

You're bound to feel a bit nervous but just try and entertain the idea that you're going back. Nothing bad can or will happen it'll just be a little emotional at first but those feelings will soon pass. Once you're back into the routine it'll feel like you were never away.

Enjoy the challenge, all part of living without gambling.

Bon chance

Steve

blondie

Remember the first day at Big school lol, tales of heads down the toilet and how actually that was just myth.

the nervous feelings are natural, healthy and we gifted ourselves them the day we stopped the madness that was gambling.

I know that you will give work you all, as in life today my friend.

Funny i get the feeling those feelings may also be felt from other work colleagues, a good thing too.

hope all is well with your mum and woody, my two have become a little too attached to the newt pond!!! stinking!! lol.

duncs stepping forward never back.

Hope all goes well tomorrow but I am quite sure it will. I went back after eight months off and funny how everyone was so supportive it all just slotted back, feels like I was never off at all now.

Hope everything else in life is going well for you at the moment as you have coped with so much recently you def need a break.

Hey Blondie

Wishing you the very best of luck for your return to work tomorrow. I'm sure you will be fine. I know what it's like after recently returning myself after four months off. If you have the right support and good colleagues around you like me, everything will be fine and before you know it, you will be back into the full swing of things!! (not sure if that's good or bad)! ha - I've been chocca block!! All good for the brain being distracted from any troublesome thoughts though.

A special prayer for Blondie this evening from Lady Feb.

Take care and remain strong in your abstinence - you have done fantastic!!

Lady Feb.xxx

Thanks everyone for the posts, so back to work it is and duncs you was right no head down the toilet or cold shoulder just welcomed back with open arms and was very touched by how much people had missed me. My boss said I should be very proud of how much my team love and respect me, was pretty blown away.

Easing myself back into it and the 5000 plus emails that I had have all bit been deleted, only working half days this week so managed an early finish today and made the most of the weather.

Oh and another revelation I got my tattoo done on Saturday,I love Love it, never thought it would feel as significant as it does and I cried when it was finished, so I know have the words. "Second star to the right and straight on till morning with 2 little stars on my inner left arm. The directions to never land from Peter Pan which is what we called my dad. A Very fitting tribute and permenant reminder of the fun sided my dad, the boy who never wanted to grow up, and never did.

Gambling smambling it couldn't be further from my mind,a few urges last week but I knew deep down I was never going to act on them. 13 months and counting and feeling extremely pleased with progress.

Thanks for posts everyone .

Take care everyone .
