It's an emotional post to read as an outsider so I can only imagine how you were feeling but I am so happy for you that you and your mum are able to talk/cry/hug and be there for each other, your demons don't stand a chance now! 🙂

Day 89. The BIG 90 tomorrow.

Carpet man is finally coming tomorrow, well so he said anyway, I shall be diverting those concrete boots for my boss if he doesnt turn up.

Not that busy work wise today so preparing things for next week which is a first. Got some really great news today got a 6% payrise today which is a fair chunk of money and its paid in august and backdated to January so really chuffed about that it was performance related the highest one that was awarded nice to see working hard is recognised.

I wont be gambling today, no sirrrrr eeeee, I will be wearing my gamble free colours with pride and staying on the only winning side there is.

Had a few tears today I miss my dad all the time every day but at least I can let it out now rather than bottle it up.

I think ill have a few drinks tonight in celebration of my 90 days tomorrow, Why not i think ive earnt it.

Onwards and upwards... 2nd target acheived tomorrow, great to see everyone checking in bet free on the 90 day thread. We can do this guys and girls.

Have a great weekend all.

blondie. Well you made it to the 90 day club, in the time you have been on this forum you have bared your soul and stripped yourself bare to expose what gambling had given you and done to your life, this story runs a common theme amongst us compulsive gamblers and in doing so you have i beleive given yourself the upper hand in the fight to remain in a state of arrest. I did not fully understand why 90 days was so significant but since i got to the milestone i have had countless lightbulb moments of which i know have got me to the position i am today and i so know it will be the same for you. You have shown so much support to others in your quest to get your life back, please continue to do so, continue to make that choice just for today, tomorrow will be better for it. Be proud and keep enjoying, i will keep enjoying too. Duncs stepping forward never back.

90 days . My second target reached and it feels pretty amazing. 90 days ago a made the best decision I have ever made I decided that I couldnt live my life the way I had, and actually I was not living it at all just wasting it on something which is so destructive and devastating to lots of people. Today I dont live that life anymore , I am not counting down the days to being debt free or having no urges I know those days have and will come, my life started again 90 days ago. I am alive again inside, I feel again good or bad but I feel it. I laugh again, I am embraceing life , I appreciate what I have , I am aiming each day to be a better person and my whole perespective on life is changing. Someone finally knows about my addiction and I dont have to hide anymore I can talk honestly and openly about it with out shame or guilt. I am so happy and I could not of done it without the help and support of you guys and girls so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today is a great day a fantastic day. Today I will not gamble . Well done on 90 days.

Keep thinking about how you felt 90 days ago and how you feel right now.

Amazing isn't it?

So why gamble?!

Have a great weekend, you deserve it.
