Hi All, posting on here as I feel my recovery has finally started, I have lost a lot of money over the years but none more than in the last 12 months, 31 Jan 2017 was the final straw, I have not gambled since so I am on day 27! need the strength to continue, I keep having thoughts about gambling but I guess this is just the rawness of the situation, hopefully that urge will fall each day. really want to last from one pay chq to the next being gamble free!
Congratulations on 27 days, that's incredible.
In terms of blocks, did you do anything to ensure you couldn't gamble? Such as self-exclusion, gambling blockers, financial control etc? It's important to make sure you have these in place as you could reach a "Safe zone" and then relapse thinking you're in the clear.
But from the sounds of it you are already doing incredibly well. Keep us updated on how you are doing.
Good job on 27 days GF. Feel good in yourself for going that far but as Adam said, don't think it's over so you can have one little bet. It's like a drinker who takes one drink, it's a slippery slope to day zero again and a bust bank account.

thanks guys, last few days have defo been the hardest, keep thinking about it, I know deep down i say to myself dont do it, so far I am winning the battle. Thanks again for the support.
Day 35 still GF!! thats 5 whole weeks! pain easing but only slightly. debt still there for a long time but each month it reduces!
up to day 49 by reckoning not gambled since 31 Jan 2017. lasted a full pay month too!! Its been tough but Im feeling pleased.
One month of debt paid off! lol
