You mentioned trying to get a loan to consolidate payday loans etc. ....may be worth giving step change a ring...for some advise...the last thing you want to do is over commit with loan repayments....you still need to live a sensible life while trying to quit the slots....or even give the companies a ring yourself ...tell them your situation and that you will pay...but smaller amounts for longer. ...I found with bills I was behind on ...once I told the truth and insisted that what I offered was all I could afford....they were ok....I aimed to speak and sort
one bill a day....now I've got everything under control....may help...xx

Hey Dizzy, day 17! well done, seriously good work ! I think call step change too, chances are (sorry if I'm wrong) but getting payday loans might mean your credit rating isn't great? Mine was not great, and I destroyed it with multiple payday loans and credit cards, so a bigger loan might not be possible, but step change can contact everyone for you, or as loxxie said call them yourself, since the payday loan company's have been hammered on their practices, they are dealing with people more fairly that need to make a different payment plan, quick question, did you used too get lots of payday loans before the recent stuff?like 2010-early 2015? If so Google debt camel payday loans...some helpful advice on getting unaffordable interest on loans refunded.xx

Ok good, I'm lucky I have just received mine so it's paid stuff off the last couple of days, can't say the same for my ppi! Got that back in Jan/Feb I think, paid all my loans off and then re borrowed and gambled the lot :-/ idiot eh! I still have a few months of living on a shoe string too correct the worst of it, but should be done by August then a completely fresh start! X

Hi dizzy, just wanted to drop in and say hello, you are doing really well. I know it's easier said than done but try not to overly stress about the money side, just tackle one thing at a time and it will get sorted. I find, for me personally, if I get too stressed over the money side then it all builds up and that's when I'm at a higher risk of gambling. Just tackle it a little at a time, like gambling - one day at a time 🙂

I'm tucked up in bed reading here online diarys no spinning wheels tonight for me feels good,going to make a list of things I'd like to achieve some goals, il dream of that tonight ,instead of winning big winning that jackpot, and lead me not into temptation armen goodnight all xxxx ps really excited about getting to day 21 and I have absolutely no idea why but it's probably the longest ive gone in a year ha ha you don't get my money tonight or worse my soul!

I am one of the lucky ones to get outta debt. At one stage i owed 18k.

I'd borrowed 50k from payday loans and managed to get 10k refunded under irresponsible gambling. I went to the financial ombudsman who were brilliant.

They removed all payday loans from my credit report including a default as i should never have received the loans as they were unafforable for me.

If you could tell your husband and let him control your finances. I know it may be difficult and you know him better than me.

My wife has looked after my finances over 2 years now.

Gambling is deadly and i struggle to get by a few days without a bet.
What does work is bringing less cash with you.

I know i'd never borrow again ( apart from the new morgage we are getting )

Things will get better for you Dizzy missy and i really hope things improve.

My advice too is to stay positive and keep smiling. Live life and make changes.

If toad can improve then you can too.

Come on. Follow toad down the pond and we will find a new lily pad to live on. Avoid the dragon flies and voles and the vermin bookies. Lets do this.

Positive for today just paid my parents back another ВЈ50 (borrowed ВЈ1300)down to £1000 now next week need to concentrate on payday loans

Avaliable balance £35 not a lot but least it's something that would have been gone a few weeks back x
