Well
I did a diary last year and oddly went exactly 100 days without a single bet!
All the way from July 2 to early October. Then for no reason I waslked into the bookies and started playing Black Jack again and as you will probably have guessed I have been a regular ever since and probably lost circa £15000.
Have just blown £1100 today.
Such a fool. I need to stop this time as I hve blown the best part of a 60k bonus paying off debts and stuff and yet I still play.
I pray to switch on the news to see FOBT have been made illegal or stakes maximised to £1 as I know I wouldnt play for such paltry amounts.
I want to beat this illness but even as I type this I have that uncontrollable feeling of wanting to visit the bookies,
However I have lost enough today.

Welcome back Nick , me too been a compulsive gamblers over 30 years, and like you been here before, I'm now 70 day's clean but GamCare member since 2011, But I'm determined never to go back to those dark day's, wipe your face walk away and start abstaining from today, don't throw good money after bad. I was on that treadmill chasing, chasing, chasing until I'd done every penny I could lay my hand on, wishing you well on your recovery......onwards and upwards....Ginger.

First real day today. Have left my debit card at home and have about £20 on me. Unfortunately my stakes have been so high lately I view £20 as too small an amount of ££ to gamble with.
So will hopefully stay clear today
Hi Nick,
Welcome back to recovery and diaries, you have made a very wise choice,
Quite sad to know that 20 is not enough to gamble with, when 20 can buy so much when we have zilch, but it is a great tool to just have that 20 because we won't gamble with it, it would be like having a crumb of our favourite cake lol.we would want much more.
Stay strong, focused and win today,
Suzanne xx
