Silly Cow, I'm sorry it's my issue with a few people on this website. I apologise for dragging you into it.

My bad.

Ultimately. if you have found this website then you must be pretty ficked. So My best advice is look into your soul what makes you gamble and ignore all the indulgence x

and apologies my last post seems to have posted about 8 times!

But that's what you get when you join a website which is funded by the gambling industry.

Remember children - Stop when it stops being fun, mmkay?

I quite like your take on thing's mole. Except there's no need to keep singling said person out.
Maybe drop something in the debates section?

Moleton holeton,

Probably better ways of getting your point across without and not dragging certain members of this forum into this. But i do like your take on things and i do agree with you in the aspect of there is something missing within our lives to make compulsively gamble as a way of coping. Took me a while to realise that and im starting to see that i clearly was not happy with my life and began to get my self esteem back. We cannot just blame gambling for our problems and on a journey of self discovery we need to find out what makes us happy, because gambling does not.

Hi Mole,

I, personally, really like your take on things. I agree that everyone has to deal with this in a different ways and, personally (although it's early days), don't agree with the GA/AA 'steps' method (my wife works in substance misuse and it also very cynical). I don't WANT to be a victim and, if I am a victim, it's only of myself and my inability to control my gambling. However, I do believe the Gamcare forum is a good starting point for people and there is plenty of good (and differing) advice on here.

Well done on your 3 years 🙂

And 'oh dear' all over again.

I am right about the other poster you're obsessed with BTW. Believe it or not as you wish.

I think this a horrible thread. Great start to my day but my choice to read it!

We have edited out some swearing and name-calling on this thread. Remember this forum, and especially this section, aims to be welcoming to all. The forum rules and etiquette state that users should not make posts which are obscene or insulting to others.

Mole, if you had bothered to inform yourself on what has been happening on the forum in your absence, you would know that like the rest of us, CW has grown to have a more rounded perspective (as Phil says, in my opinion) and her views and comments are now very often helpful, kind and constructive imho. Slinging mud and insults isn't the best way of giving hope, as the title of this thread suggests, particularly in the newcomers section.

Admin, could this not be moved to diaries or something?

Hi Mole and everyone.

We have moved this thread to the recovery diaries section of the Forum, where it seems better placed.

Kind wishes
