Today has been my first day in a long while that I have not had a bet !
I lived all my life gambling from as far back as I remember it started on the arcades when I was about 7 years old and I have always lived my life with gambling in it my grandad and my dad have also both gambled all there life and now iam doing the same ! I started going in to the bookies when I was about 14 years old I would bet £1 bets on dogs horses e.c.t and I would win most of the time but then my bets started to get bigger and bigger with the more money I won. I had a very good winning streak where I won a thousand pounds from five pound and I felt on top of the world from then on it all went down hill with my gambling I started to gamble £50.00 a time and lost the money very quickly, I felt so low I felt sick to my stomach that feeling when you lose is the worst feeling ever then I would borrow money and chase my loses only to lose more and more. I am now 29 years old and I have been through lots of terrible experiences with my gambling I have lost so much I would not like to hazard a guess how much and I just keep thinking today will be the day I win but the win never comes just more losses.
Today I have managed to struggle through without gambling but I have had urges all day and keep thinking I can win, I need to stop this addiction
Today was a struggle I wanted to gamble all day I kept having thoughts that I could do small bets and control my gambling, but iam glad to say I did not give into the crazy thoughts, iam a compulsive gambler and if I gamble I can not stop, I know this is going to be a struggle but I have got to fight the urges to gamble day by day,
