Day 31,

Amount spent on gambling - £0

Amount spent on my children - £62

Building up slowly but surely. This morning has been tough. When I dropped my daughter off at school this morning I got chatting to a friend who is going through a messy divorce. Her husband keeps agreeing to things then going back on it wanting more money all of the time. He doesn't seem to get the fact that his greed is causing his children to suffer and miss out on things. She was saying how he has always been useless with money, had no savings and debts etc. It got me thinking afterwards about how I have behaved so selfishly myself and in reality I am no better.

Onwards and upwards from now on and trying hard to stay positive about the things that are in my power to change.

Best wishes to all.

Day 32,

Quick update. I feel the need to change the wording from money spent to saved as this is a more accurate reflection as to what I am doing.

Money spent on gambling - £0

Money saved for my children - £64

A couple of quiet drinks tonight at the end of a busy week.

Best wishes to all.

Day 35 (5 weeks),

All fine although thinking about the debts has been getting me down today. It is not all down to gambling by any means but a lot of it is speculative investments in AIM stocks which either crashed or in one recent case went into administration costing me £500. Any future stocks and shares investments will be limited to the FTSE 100. Far less volatile although I guess you could argue this is just another form of gambling.

Money spent on gambling - £0

Money saved for my children - £70

Best wishes to all.

Day 36,

The days seem to be going faster at the moment. As daft as it sounds with all the pre-Christmas things that need organising I am finding that I am chanelling my energies into these rather than wasting my time and energy gambling.

Amount spent on gambling - £O

Amount saved for my children - £72

Best wishes to all.
