I lost all savings and now in debt but the funniest part is I still keep on gambling with the money I have, for paying back monthly installments. Is it really me? Can I be so stupid? My only question is how do I keep myself busy in my free time. Online casinos are now running in my blood and sucking in my internal confidence, happiness and money.
Anyways, I have decided to keep myself away from it(after many failed attempts) and this is my day 0. I don't know how others have done it successfully but coming out of gambling is now the biggest challenge of my life. I know this is ruining me but I am not able to keep myself away from it for the sake of momentarily feeling that satisfies my urges and slaps me back right on my face.
Please help. I will come here daily to truthfully explain my progress.
Welcome to the site plshelp43k you're not alone you will find on this site lots of different people from lots of different backgrounds but whos story has a common theme we don't know when to stop
I see you're into online casinos I was more into sports betting but the principle is the same the first thing I can suggest is closing all accounts and self excluding I would also suggest downloading blocking software i use K9
I now have no access to my money I have to ask for it even if it's 50p for a paper it works for me . if I have no money it brakes a triangle time opportunity and money without one of those three things I cannot gamble
As for filling the time which gambling Took up I come on this site read all the other peoples diaries and update mine and I watched to have watched a hell of a lot of box sets.
Good luck and keep updating your diary people will support you and offer you lots of advice you choose what advice from to take that suits you
Thanks Oldhamktf for your support. I will certainly cut the access to money and have now self excluded myself. I will update my diary and read others post in my free time.

The best way to keep busy is to come on here read people's stories.it does help go into chatroom tonite at 8 honest it does. You are not alone be strong it's not easy it's bloody hard. But you can do it you must do it. Good luck see yiu in the chat room at 8 wink wink
Thanks guys...the first day is going well till now. The only thought which keeps coming to my mind is "I chose the wrong bet last time and that is why I lost it otherwise I would have won". This so wrong and how do I get over it. The first day is really hard.
Gambling can be incredibly addictive for some people. Most can play and walk away but the small percentage can be addicted to it. Helps to have good barriers and protections set up to help you stop gambling. Well done on day 1 and keep going.
Hurray!! this is my day 4. I had a strong urge where i could have easily relapsed. The trick is just let that moment pass and keep yourself busy for next one hour and you are back to your senses. I pray to god to give me strength to stay away from it.
Well done you, keep going and keep strong and positive.
