Been Trying to stop for years i hate it i cant stop im Going to try again 100days and beyond
Hi aron,
Well done on signing up and posting on here. The first few steps you take are vital. Have you got practical blocks in place? Self exclusion, blocking software, financial control?
Have you looked into GA or counselling? The chatroom on here is brilliant and I always try to log in once per day as it's been such a great help to get my mind into focus.
I look forward to hearing how you get on.
I self excluded bit always find thГЁ next one thГЁ blocking software costs is there a free one?
Day one thinking about alot of things today
Hello,
There are several gambling blockers - K9 and GamBan are free. Others are out there but they cost money but it could be a good investment if you really want to stop.
Take it day by day - there is no quick fix to this. You're gonna feel a bit rubbish for a while but push through it and you will succeed.
Hi Aron,
Well done on coming here and trying to stop.....as adam has suggested there is lots of things that you can put into place to make gambling alot more difficult. Time to put as much efoort in to stopping as you have in gambling in the past.
I have never installed blocking software but how about making it more difficult to access your money.....maybe speaking to a family member.aprtner and getting them to look after it for a while. The early days are the most difficult as there is always the thought about the lost money....it does get easier with time though believe me.
Also as suggested how about talking to someone about it....GA or give gamcare a call and get some free counselling arranged. I have been seeing my coounsellor over a year now and although i now pay him it has been worth every penny.
Anyway its up to you how much effort you want to put into stoppung...there are loads of success stories on here if you make the effort.
Wish you well bud.

There you go. Free software to stop you gambling. Just get someone you trust to setup the admin password so you're not tempted to get around the blocking to gamble. Job done. I've got it on my pc at home and it works just fine. Page cannot be displayed if any gambling sites are accessed.
Day 4 not used any content blocks I'm using pure will power
I'd personally advise against this attitude aron. You can have all the willpower in the world and one tiny little thing can kick your brain into an urge.
Trust me, I've been trying to give up since last July and have relapsed more times than I can remember. Don't make the same mistakes as me. Get as many blocks as you can and you WILL beat this!
Ok yeah fair point will any of the software work on my Android phone
Gamblock works on Android phones I believe. There's some info here: http://www.gamcare.org.uk/get-advice/what-can-you-do/blocking-software
Well day six and not gambled any more the biggest obstacle is payday I pay all bills put aside for food and then it's my disposal income I just blow it on normally any tips or advice with what to do with it
Day 8 fumbled a bit today I don't Normally go to town but I had an appointment sliped in to bookies lost £20 bad one off ive managed to stay offline from casinos so that's something trying again tomorrow day 9
Not told anyone about my problem I dare Not to just going to get paid and send the missus the rest of money mainly because it's easier that way
