I have been on and off this forum for a few years under a couple of names. Can't find my old Dean27 so starting a fresh. Just done 10 days no gambling and had a pot of 80 pound which I was putting a tenner in each time I thought about it the roulette then bang yesterday thought a few quid won't hurt. How many times have I done that. We'll 1100 down. At one surge I had won it all back put I was already lost.

It's like I think after a few days of not playing I am cured and can control it. We'll I never can.

Now I gave just under 19k on credit cards yo my name. Going to take forever to clear.

This gas to be it though, if I can't stop now I will just give in and lose everything as can't keep fighting. Here's to my last stance....

Dean

Welcome back fella, well done for not giving up on giving up.

There is no cure for the addiction of gambling, but there is a way to rid it's destruction from your life. To arrest the bet, you gift yourself a 100% payrise and without doubt a clearer mind.

The lying, self loathing and emotional damage is halted too by making a choice, that choice is to rid your life of that destructive gambling.

Take things one day at a time, take all the help you can.

My advice the same that was gifted to me on my first days recovery

There is a triangle Time-money-location

Take at least one away at all times and the punt is impossible, gifting you the time to re-wire that addled brain.

Self exclude from the bookies helped me a great deal, I gifted my finances over to my wife, the results in both cases the same.

The bank balance is healthy, I did win because I did stop.

It is about making a choice.

That choice really does make you a winner.

Again well done on returning, I wish you well.

Duncs stepping forward never back.
