Day 2 GF starts for me today, although I woke up thinking about gambling, having the blocking software in place means it was quickly forgotten.

i feel better having confessed all to my father last night, knowing I have him in my corner for this fight against addiction feels really good, and feeling accountable to someone is really good for me.

today I am going out to the football with a close friend of mine, it’s something we do every festive period, and he will also be confided in today.

im not entirely sure how to describe my feelings today? Perhaps regret, sorrow, and a lot of guilt! But hidden inside is a burning desire to beat the addiction/illness that I have.

i did some research this morning as to whether it can be attributed to an illness, it was an interesting read and certainly opened my eyes a bit, I’m very optimistic that I will find a lot of answers through my counselling.

wishing you all a safe, enjoyable and gamble free weekend!
