Day 4.
I've been sleeping better last few days and it must be down to not gambling. I never realised how much stress and emotion drains your body.
Usually I'd struggle to sleep if I had a bet that lost or working out how much I was up or down, this really must take it's toll.
Anyway was on the way to work and realised how much harder it is to avoid gambling these days, internet, mobile, you can access it 24/7. Unlike the old days when we just had a smoke filled ladrokes to place our bets. No chance of chasing your bets with some late night South American football.
Not really feeling any urge to gamble, next week will be a test though as it's payday. But good luck to all those kicking the habit too, stay strong.
Thanks dessieboy, I'll take a look into that but I'm based outside the UK so not sure if gamcare can help directly?

Hi black,
I would consider giving counselling a try. Its been a great help for me in understanding the reasons why I became a compulsory gambler in the first place. I would get in touch with gamcare and they can refer you for one to one counselling without charge. Good luck
