Hi Post, hope you have had a great day with your little one and that the match is good tonight. My team Leicester are up to 4th but I think a play off place is the best they can hope for.

By the way--my posts are being edited by somebody called Rob!!!! Looks like big brother is watching us--perhaps its the Government who do not like us trying to stop people betting. We already cannot name the bookies!!1--why? Now my details of tips etc have been removed. Perhaps somebody at Gamcare does not really want us to quit??? Spooky

aye stumper,big brother defo in town yesterday...must admit emotions running high this week (seems as tho we re all on edge but we re managing nicely)...fantastic day yesterday absolutely spoiling my bairn and match last night...if carlsberg did st.patricks day lol....i can honestly say did not even see a paper yesterday or a result...marvelous ;-)....bit P i s s e d off today...my bank are issueing a new card and its got chip and pin...went in to complain that all i want is cash card they said they cant change.its todays way of living....may have to look at other banks see if they all same...today i have absolutely no intention of placing a bet but if get time may catch a couple of races...today i wont bet tomorrow i wont bet...we CAN do this folks...

I suppose everyone is different, but I've been managing to enjoy Cheltenham for what it is, the pinnacle of the jockey and horse world pitting themselves against each other in pure sporting theatre. Yes, if I could control it, I would enjoy a bet on it. But I can't, so I won't, and I can live with that.

I am certain you can find a bank which will issue you with just a cash card.

Hi Post--went to Cheltenham today to see my mates. Joined in with a few bets at the course but only because I felt strong enough to know that what I did would not have me running back to the bookies any time soon. Actually feel a lot stronger for facing things today.

When today is over you will be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Getting through this betless (is that a word? lol) will be amazing and you will deserve a medal.

Thanks for latest post. re your question about getting the half million back - no danger of that and not even in my mind. Controlled sports gambling with affordable amounts and clearing my debts is all I'm about.

wp,very pleased that like me you have come through our toughest test so far,as we both know 3 or 4 others have had a bet this week,and i'm not being critical of them in any way because i have had to be extra determined to block any access to the festival out!!!....,i'm glad it's over and done with for all of our sakes.Have a good weekend.

this week has been incredibly difficult as ive said many times and i should be shouting from the rooftops but i am not because i am showing my respects to other diaries. . Those never been involved in horse racing i personally dont think realise how big this week was. .In fact its been so difficult that should money be available i am contemplating a break somewhere next year well away from it all. hopefully in the sunshine somewhere but thats a million miles away just now. .it has been topic of conversation from my dad to friends to work mates who dont even bet but ive scraped through. . . If anybody has been offended by my posting this week then i sincerely apologise but writing my thoughts down and sharing with others has got me through this. . Thanks to all who ve helped me. Have a great weekend wp,you deserve it mate!!!!,good idea for next year getting away for a few days,i have been thinking along similar lines myself,i too have survived a difficult week and like you it has taken maximum effort and self control to block it out.It's history now though and we can move forward with renewed strengh.
