Hi post,

Stay focused mate and you'll be fine. Great news for your step-daughter, JLS not really my thing but well done on getting tickets, a mate at work was trying for his kid but it was sold out.

I think you are right about having more time without gambling and in a way that can be more precious than the money we lose.

Stay Strong

Steve

thanks for the posts folks. . Tranquil waters on diaries this week compared to the howling surfing waves of last week. .its the grand national festival next but its something i never really bothered with though would have an added interest for the sake of it.. . Personally used to prefer the thurs or fri meeting as there were lot less crowds and you could actually get near parade ring and you could also get a pint in comfort if you wanted to without the idiots on the P i s s all day on national day. . Anyways Did anyone notice a former premiership winner and scotland international who s reported to be a comp gambler in the news this week. . Just shows you as ive said before does nt matter if you on £100 week or 100k we re all in same troubles. . If your reading this colin best wishes in your recovery your a scotland legend. . Today i wont bet tomorrow i wont bet we can do this folks. . .

I see you say Colin mate but is'nt it Alan Brazil. Met him at Cheltenham a few years ago when I was on a free day with P.P.. Gave me a signed copy of his book. Seems a nice guy but think he likes the horses and booze a bit too much!! Hope whoever it is that they find hope and help like we have done.

All the best

ps be careful what you say to Seano as I think he was part of the Hitler youth!!! He may be an infiltrator from the fatherland.

Some very valid points in your last post their wp. We used to have many a premiership footballer punting their lives away with us. I once laid a 2000/14000 a seven to one on shot at a northern track to a footballer and the saddle slipped when it was 10 clear on the flat and it ran through the rails. He had tears in his eyes as it happened I swear.

How you describe Aintree is spot on by the way. You always get non-racing t*****s on the really big days just there to get drunk and ruin the sport. GRRRRR! Still makes my blood boil!

Cheers for the post wp.

You are spot on as usual mate. I've come so far in my recovery despite the odd lapse. Thing is though wp i think it will do me good counting days again as i think it will give me something to aim for and something to hold on to.

I know exactly what you mean about Aintree. I'm glad to be giving it a swerve this year.

Great to see you continuing to win your battle.

thanks for the posts folks. . Just quick couple posts today. . Ave got my parents down for the weekend. We are going to see kids tomorrow which is a good thing as i really feel for them with all the s h i t thats happened between me and my ex. . Personally feel we should be round there now but dont want to cause any hassle with my ex. . I can count on 1 hand how many times they been down in 2 1/2 years. . I feel its hurt them as as much as its hurt me. . They would just love to be able to take my kid a wander round the village back home but who knows maybe one day that will happen if i keep off the gambling and gain my ex s trust again. .best wishes folks. . Today i wont bet tomorrow i wont bet. . We can do this my friends !!
