Great last post. I'm sorry I haven't posted for a few days, i've been super busy at work.

I really do hope things get better on the ex front for you and i'm sure that whatever happens you have become a better person for it.

I had one of those weird gambling dreams a few days back, must have been my subconcious telling me to get back posting.

Good to hear you are still going strong. I'm exactly the same with The Masters and we also have The National this weekend. I'm going to busy myself in other ways by spending time with my family, and going fishing.

Glad the week is going well wp,small steps with the ex mate,got to be good :)......,never say never :).Enjoy the Masters,i know nothing about golf,last time i watched a game some poor player hit the ball into some sand....,then 2 shots later the ball ended up dropping down a hole,what a bast**d!!!.

thanks for the posts folks. . Been busy paintin a fence today(boring but ok wi the radio full blast) and no gambling thoughts even tho the aintree festival is on. . Annoyed this mornin at work mate who asked me for sweep in national. . Told him no and got reply sayin too late its already on. . Well he wont get penny from me for his cheek even if i was tempted. . Anyways just quick posts today as off t theatre tonight. . Altogether now " we re off t see the wizard". . . stay strong folks we can do this and have great bet free weekend 🙂

Have a nice time at the theatre mate--cannot beat live entertainment-well it is much better than paying to watch dead people anyway.

I was picked for the Irish Fencing team in my youth but I withdrew when they told me I must bring my own hammer and nails.

Enjoyed your post about Musselburgh by the way - they def have improved the track dramatically but I still much prefer Hamilton for facilities and general atmosphere.

Hope the theatre trip was enjoyable wp,i know how you feel re the sweepstake,i didn't have to face that problem.Funnily enough i would never have a go in them even when i was gambling,if i was called a tightarse i would pay and give my ticket away!!.

thanks for the posts folks. . Talkin about posts i finished the fence today with an interruption from the neighbours sayin i splashed paint onto their side. . I think they had cheek seein the day before they painted their side and their yukky black colour started t steep through and considerin my ex paid for d**n thing. . Anyways when they complained i politely told them how much paint actually damaged my side. . Considering they are elderly i was sincere but my ex was pleased with fact that i stood up to them. . Normally in that situation she would take over as i would nt have had bottle to challenge them. . My point is had i been gambling would i have been able to talk that way. . Being bet free is certainly changin me for the better i hope 🙂 absolute fantastic show last night. . If its on tour its well recommended. . Its wizard of oz with joe pasquale. . It was nt suited for a 2 year old though with some rude jokes but classic old fashioned british comedy similar to pantomimes and a cheap nights entertainment 🙂 grand national today and i never even seen it as had my mates ticket for match again. . .Ive kinda over spent my budget for this month but is nt life so enjoyable without gambling. . Hopefully be able to last out till next pay day even if it means going back to the dark days of heinz soup and bread or beans on toast lol. . Sorry for ramble post. . today i did not bet tomorrow i wont bet. . We can do this folks. .

Yeah i see your point about your m8 putting you in the sweep.i have a m8 like that too.The only thing i will say in his defence is that although you said you didnt want to go in it maybe it just didnt register with him. Unless they are going through the hard work (which you are )then they dont seem to understand just how serious you are to give up.I had to have strong words with my m8 so he didnt put me in the Cheltenham tipster compo.Now he can see how determined i am and i get the respect.Keep up the good work m8 .Im off to golf now Jeff.

wp, Cheers for the comments on my diary, you made me re read what i had wrote, iam glad i did this and can see were your coming from 100%. Iam commited to this and am looking forward to my meeting tommorow. Complacancy is my enemy. i read your diary, i have still alot to loose, thankyou for pointing this out. One thing that i have taken out of your diary is the how detirmed you are, and how detirmened i am going to have to be to beat this. I dont want to lie to myself or anyone again.

Glad you had a good day out or evening a couple of days ago.Even though our finances don't give us the life we think we might want i think its just important to have a bit of fun now and then.Sometimes it does'nt mean using alot of money either mate,but even for us gamblers we need some happy time mate.Alot better spending over the budget on something wort while instead of every penny going to gambling mate.
